    Scan tool

There's a few different levels of the MD802. Right now the 4 system is $182 shipped on Amazon. My coworker purchased one at that price a few weeks ago with a 20% coupon code (so $145) from an authorized site (cant remember which one, he was tracking the price for quite some time across different...

    Scan tool

I you want to do more than PCM DTC's, check out the Autel MD802. It handles engine/trans/ABS/Airbag and more. If you shop around, it can be had for under $150 when there's a sale or coupon on some sites.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Did some more wheel well trimming in anticipation of the new tires, and test fit a wheel for a preview... hoping to squeeze in some 305/60/18s I got for a steal on craigslist..

'Hoe is still pulling to the right after alignment

For a quick sanity check, swap the front tires left to right. The only other slight possibility is your front right caliper is seized.... but my bets are still on alignment. When the trucks jacked up to swap the tires, spin them by hand to see if the brake is dragging

'Hoe is still pulling to the right after alignment

No, bad shocks won't cause that. Sounds like the alignment isn't in spec. Bring it back, tell them its still pulling right. Chances are they set the toe and didn't mess with camber/caster.

'Hoe is still pulling to the right after alignment

Have a printout of the alignment specs? Could be in spec but if caster is not .5 higher on right side, the road crown will cause the truck to drift to the right

    Bought a Yukon XL

I'd go straight to the NTB 6" kit. If you do keys/blocks/BL, you'll also need to get the pitman/idler arm supports to handle the larger tires with the angles on the steering components, which altogether put you near the price of the RC kit anyway.

Laura Buick GMC - Need Input

I just bought my Yukon XL from a dealer in Ohio. They mailed me the white title, I brought that to NJ MVC with a form that I downloaded off their webpage (title application), filled out a vehicle registration form, got in line and had everything taken care of in about 20 minutes. Need proof of...

    TPMS question

I was wondering the same thing.... been out of the tpms system so long since I turned it off on my Jeep. oewheelsllc.com sells a set of 4 for $80. Was thinking of giving them a shot but wanted to do some research first.

    Gearing yet again

I went with Yukon Gear when I did mine, but the installer will likely have a brand they like. Nobody wants to install gears a 2nd time for free if there are issues, so it's usually safe to go with an installers recommendation.

    Gearing yet again

Might have something to do with how they marketed SUVs vs trucks, and max tow capacity. My gmt800 silverado was 4.10s with tow package. Stock tires were only an inch taller than yours. I wouldn't lose sleep about it either way. If I was regearing for a tow rig for 33s, I'd go 4.30s. Either...

    Gearing yet again

Stock trucks with tow packages came with 4.10s... so you're regearing with a handicap if it's a tow rig. Honestly it's minor so you'll probably be happy with 4.10s, but if you're spending the money I don't see a benefit to 4.10s over 4.30s if you're towing. Replacing the G80 later will cost as...

    Gearing yet again

Basically it entails you dropping your truck off at a shop and picking it up later that day. Ive done gear swaps and honestly have reached the point where I'll just pay a shop to do it lol. You dont need new axles or anything. They'll replace the ring and pinion in both axles and likely...

2011 Yukon XL Denali 6.2L cooling trouble while towing

Regearing gives mechanical advantage back to the drivetrain. It's a dual hatted improvement, lowers the torque required to move the load forward and also increases the RPMs necessary to maintain a given speed (in this case, keeping the engine closer to its peak power output when pulling up a...

2011 Yukon XL Denali 6.2L cooling trouble while towing

I'd consider regearing to 3.73s. You could also see if someone makes a deeper trans pan with cooling fins.

    What is a Yukon XL 2500 ?

Yes, but the 2500 has a stonger trans, tcase, axles, suspension and has a lower gear ratio then the Denali, hence the higher tow rating. If you're not towing near max capacity a lot, don't need 4low, and want a smoother ride, the Denali is a great truck. It'll still haul more than a standard...
