    On my pickup two wheel drive I put on all four winter tires and when snow is forecast I keep 4 or 5 bags of sand handy to throw in the back. Been in some really bad driving conditions over the years, shift work and 80 mile round trip commute. Four wheel drive is very rarely needed.

    Torque converter

    You didn't mention the mileage but it's not IF it (torque converter) goes bad, it's when. To get the vehicle reliable for a good time I'd get it replaced. Price seems high but I'm probably out of date on that.

    I've run several GM automatics over 200k miles with filter and refills at normal service intervals. Usually around 50k miles. Get the pan off, see what's in there, clean really well.

    Don't know about an 02 but on our 01 the radio was not coded new, had to add a code. Used it for a couple years before I did. Wrote it down in the back of the owner's manual.

    Might have something to do with the vane type oil pump up front? That could get a bit noisy at certain loads and rpm. Certain engine setups might need it?

    It should allow you to use all the gears up to ninth in automatic as usual but won't shift into the top gear. I wonder if these ten speeds ever actually use 10th anyway. My brother has a Jeep Cherokee with a 9 speed and it has to be running something like 80mph to go into ninth.

    One of those pins would have power for the tailights, probably a connector back to the main wire, check for power on the trailer plug. Could be a fault at that connection point.

    I recall when the new design came out there were many comments about decreased mileage. Our 2019 has impressed me with the mpg we get. Use mid grade or better gas and I don't baby that motor.

    2013 Chev Tahoe brake issue

    Those brake hoses get soft inside and collapse blocking the reverse flow. When you put on the brakes the very high pressure opens the restriction to make the brakes work but the return flow is low pressure. Brakes drag, gets hot, piston and fluid expands, gets hotter, etc.
