    Sounds like you may have blown the differential. I would think if it was the transfer broken it would not be driveable. All gears working,does 60mph. Only has trouble at a slow turn. Sounds like diff.

    I think it used to be a mandatory change from left to right,possibly the same here in N.Z My insurance company is punishing me for having a left hook by imposing a $1500 excess. Think if I was to join a hotrod or car club I might find cheaper insurance. At least I shouldn't smash a parked car ayy

    Did a "LS" trim have remote door locks?

    Hey Jeff Dont know if my info will help but my 97 yukon doesn't have remote access. I have 2 keys only no fobs. Can central lock from both front doors and rear door. Think an alarm install will give me remote access. Cheers

    I was reading earlier that you said the vehicle had been parked up for 6 months. Any chance that there was some build up from where the pads sat resulting in high spots or brake line on the disc's? Would explain a higher amount of shake at speed when braking

    Hi welcome to the forum. Bent rear axle maybe? A bent rim? Wheels out of balance or bent drive shaft. A few things to consider,hope this helps.

    Hey I've just found a pic of a 97 2door grill from earlier this year. This is kinda what mine will look. Mine will have chrome surround inset and gloss black around the red GMC. Matte black inset/gloss black outer.
