Have bitten a bullet and splashed out for the cheapest option I could find.Found this on Ubuy for $171.00 n.z and that included the shipping cost of $76.00 It is getting expensive owning a foriegn car!! Thanks Tony I had a look online and compared the clamps. It is a Specialized tool that takes all of that key torsion torque. No other way apart from the right way. $370 shipped from Rock auto $170 shipped on Ubuy $400 shipped on Summit Sheesh ayyy!- 97YukonNZ

Okay so that was short lived . Is all back together. I thought I had a G clamp that I could modify and use to wind the key up and release the adjustment plate. Seems I lent it out and was never returned. Do I need a proper clamp? Can I use builders or woodworking clamp and knock the flat...- 97YukonNZ

Hey Hope you're all well! Here we go on a mod. Am going to put a pair of 2" drop keys in. Lol wish me luck!! Got her in the air. What did you do to your OBS GMT400 Tahoe/Yukon Today?
Just ordering some 2" drop hangers and 2" drop keys for the Yukon. Summit racing for the keys and Switch Suspension for the hanger drop kit. The big girl is coming down! Boss gave me a k towards some 20's n tires so I'll be shopping for those. Going to replace the 2" body lift with new stock...- 97YukonNZ

Got my aircon going yesterday after 2 years of no connection. Had a repair done on the inlet manifold a couple of years ago and the mechanic bent the pins in the plug. I finally succeeded in straightening the pins with it in place and We have cold air again!! :favorites37:- 97YukonNZ

The Shakes
Could it be a vacuum leak? An air leak in the valley or a vacuum line disconnect . The didn't take the distributor out and are 180° out or maybe a couple if lead positions out causing the miss. Could be an easy fix.- 97YukonNZ

This is normal right? Coolant temp drops slightly when heater is turned on. It is cold out.
Yes Back in the day when hill climbing our little cars here in New Zealand we were taught that if your car started to overheat you could cool it somewhat by turning the heater on.- 97YukonNZ

Feels like a wheel is going to fall off
Hi Brian I have a 97 Yukon and have done similar to you in replacements up front. Could it be a steel belt gone out in 1 of them front tyres maybe? Body mounts connected to the frame nice n tight? Have read about some guys feelings before discovering that a couple had rotted and were loose up...- 97YukonNZ

1st time doing some 4x4 today With a mate and some buddies. Played it pretty safe while sussing her out. These Beasts go well off road! Big smiles on my face over some of the climbs and river crossings. Only vehicle not to need a tow! Go GM!!- 97YukonNZ
