Seriously, I have made it to reading about COP vs Flip and then learning what sets Cree, Philips, and others apart. I think I am going to order some Philips Flip LEDs for my high beams the HIDs I have are ok but I dont like the warm up time for hi-beams.
Reporting back: Pulled everything apart this past weekend, the passenger side actuator lever was the wrong one. It will not stay seated in the actuator it rotates on the pill and gets stuck in place causing the parking brake to jam open. Which is fine cause I can still drive, I am just having to...
Lol its all good, I had to recheck Ohms law right quick to make sure I remembered correctly.
Looks like the JDM ones I have are 3.4x brighter then the endpages ones. But I wonder if we are getting into the whole not all companies label their stuff the same. Like speakers, most people think you...
Sounds like the Endpage ones will not as bright as what I have now, but I feel like I am missing something. The ones I have installed right now claim to be 33 SMD pieces 0.5W AX-2835. So that’s 2,079 lumens, 16.5 watts, at 12v that’s just a little over 1.375A. Even the configuration you...
Thanks for the info guys, you sparked my curiosity and since I’m home from work now I jumped on and started educating myself using your info to branch my google searches off. Started by looking up Endpages stuff, I found them in no time on amazon and I have prime as well, so I might send these...
Do either of you have any idea which brands and chipsets actually work properly?
I’m going to review the wiring diagram tonight and see if I can mod it in any way to make these work, I saw where one guy put the stock bulbs in behind the housing and wired them inline and it made the car think...
You ain’t kinding, I spend more time fighting the exterior lighting then anything on my truck. I would love to buy a set of custom headlights and taillights that were like plug and play and would work right without constant fiddling. But I am going to keep pushing forward with the LEDs and get...
Welp I lied, lol. Now that I had some time to go out and really check everything out with another person, cruise control no longer works, brake lights are bright but the difference between running light and hitting the brake pedal is not that noticeable doesnt seem safe, turn signals are on at...
How’d you do that? Shave it off or chip it off
EDIT: Nvm I found the post in the “what did you do today” thread right after I posted this. Gonna sand it since mine as not bubbling yet.
I didn’t even think about it because I never use it, but I have read several times it can cause that to quit working. Ill try it out tomorrow or later tonight if I go back out.
I haven’t experienced any hyper flash, I picked up a flasher relay from the local parts store back when I did the...
Yep, I put red ones in my brake light and turn signals because the housing for those lights is already red. I’ll get some better photos when I get home tonight of me hitting the brake pedal verses running light. But I can say they light up a good amount brighter when you hit the brake pedal...
Got some stuff did some stuff, seems to be a trend happening here. I’ll get night photos tomorrow, too sleepy for all that.
JDM AX-2835 Chipset
2 sets red
1 set white
Running light on in daylight.
Halogen LED
Love the way these less look light up.
Don’t have a...
Awesome, thanks for the info and the link. I do have one more question, I still need to send in my follow up scans for review but I am getting new tires at the end of the month and they are a good bit larger. I know I will need to get new tune files then to correct for tire size. My plan was to...
I recently did the AutoCal tune, and I gotta say I love my tune. Really woke up my older Suburban, what a blast to drive now. Only downside is it’s hard to stay out of the throttle, lol.
What I’m trying to figure out is can I use the AutoCal in pass-through with EFILive on my laptop to monitor...
Super blurry photo, I was carrying dinner in last night and trying to grab a photo of the light output. Not bad for some cheap LEDs in the stock mirrors.
The back-up light LEDs and the flush mount bolts should be here today, working on getting a paint gun so I can paint everything this...
Got the stock mirrors back on, had some extra LEDs laying around so I took the time to throw them in the puddle lights. Since they were the board kind they wouldn’t fit through the opening in the cover so I just angled them towards the back a little.
Amber belongs on the front
Hey I appreciate you saying it again, I’m not a spring chicken anymore and I might have forgot. And I’m ballin on a budget, a budget that’s running dry.
Haha twilight zone, you told me the same thing back when the bulbs didn’t fit. And I really like those tails. I will eventually change over to those or either the all LED ones. For now $12.99 for bulbs and done is better than $30 to buy the bulbs I sent back and $69 for those tails.
Yeah the first set I ordered didn’t fit in my aftermarket taillights, many suggested a different taillight but I like the ones I have so I got LED bulbs that aren’t as long so they will fit.
