Glad you got it figured out. My front rotors will be due for replacement soon. What brand did you get?

2010 Yukon Denali front diff replacement

What were the symptoms that your diff went bad - was it howling, or did it just not engage to spin the wheels in AWD?

    AFM problems?

There are a few reasons that people get rid of it. 1. AFM is documented to destroy lifters more often than I'm comfortable with. Google "AFM lifter failure." 2. AFM is documented to cause oil consumption. 3. For those with aftermarket exhausts, the note changes significantly when the truck...

Post up those 2wd Lifted Tahoes!!

Nice! How do they fit - any rubbing?

    Rate my deal please...

If it's a 4x4, that price sounds about par for the course in my area; maybe even a little low. I regularly see LT 4x4s with 120-140k miles at around the 16k price point. Since this is a Z71 with leather, I'd say it's a good deal. Does it have navigation? Power liftgate? Those will add a tiny bit...

Bose Premium - possible to replace stock sub, keep all else the same?

Sounds complicated, waaaay above my experience level :D How much do you think it would be for an audio shop to do all that, if I buy the amp and sub?

    Towing with my 2012 Denali

Flat tow or dolly tow, I don't see why not. Putting it on a trailer though might put you very close to your weight limit.

Bose Premium - possible to replace stock sub, keep all else the same?

Thanks for all the replies. So just so I understand correctly, is the sub output from my Bose amp already "powered" for lack of a better word? Would this make it impossible to install a mono amp on for another sub on that channel only?

Bose Premium - possible to replace stock sub, keep all else the same?

Gonna bump this back up to the top, someone here has to know.

    Shake shake shake!???

That's strange. Take a look at your steering shaft... have someone turn the steering wheel while you're under the hood watching for slop.
  12. MichaelSE

    Shake shake shake!???

I think that's normal - the wheels will turn a certain amount before the steering lock engages. Are you able to turn the wheels lock to lock with the key out?

    Shake shake shake!???

My instinct says u-joint. If it's felt in the steering wheel, it could be a u-joint on the front driveshaft. But that doesn't explain the tire cupping. That could be bad shocks, worn wheel bearings, or some other things. When you lift the wheel off the ground and grab it, is there any play...

07 tahoe roof and windshield damage from pole

Damn Top, sorry to hear that.. hopefully insurance pays out what it's worth. You planning to get another Tahoe?

Very high RPMS after dealer did the fuel injector flushing

Sounds like a shit service department, or just tech, that is trying to cover up a mistake. I only have a few cheap suggestions that probably won't work but might be worth trying to you. Get the CRC MAF & throttle body cleaner set, I think it's around $9 at Wal-mart, and clean them both. The MAF...

    High transmission temp

Hmmm.. have you checked out your t-case for leaks? If your Tahoe is an 08+, the t-case was filled with Dexron VI ATF from the factory.

Just bought a 2011 Yukon XL, have an exhaust question

Do you like the way it sounds in V8? If so, why not disable AFM? Might save you a lifter failure down the line too.. Check this out: https://www.amazon.com/Range-Technology-Active-Management-Disable/dp/B00BR1R8N8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1478235364&sr=8-1&keywords=range+device

Questions to owners of 07-13 Suburban/Yukon XL 2500s

Thanks for your reply. I stalked your posts a bit, the XL looks great. I thought that NNBS Suburban 2500s were rare.. until I searched for NNBS Yukon 2500s. They are few and far between. I think that if I do end up buying one, I'll have to travel for it like you did. Which adjustable shocks are...

2007 Denali cold knock low oil pressure at idle whe warm

This relates to the oil pan question I posted last week - so maybe someone in this thread can clarify for me, is it necessary to drop both the front axle and the crossmember just to remove the pan to change the gasket? And if so, does dropping the pan give you access to the o-ring? I need to...

Annoying Steering Noise - Input Shaft Steering Seal

Before you try anything else, find the place where the shaft passes through the firewall. There will be a large rubber grommet around it, making a well that's about 2" deep. Get some silicone lubricant spray (silicone because it won't degrade rubber like WD40), put on the straw, and spray it in...

Is it me or... (edit) powered sub?

It's not just you. The LT Bose system (non-premium) is terrible. I test drove a few Suburbans with that system before I got my 09 LTZ with the Bose premium, which still isn't wonderful, but much more tolerable. Those Infinitys look good. I'm a big fan of Infinity speakers, I've put Kappas in...

Questions to owners of 07-13 Suburban/Yukon XL 2500s

Thanks for your reply. What gears does your Yukon have? I wouldn't want to go any taller than 3.73, maybe even 4.10.
