New here. 07 State Patrol Tahoe 2wd

Check your u-joints for play, as someone else mentioned, but also have your wheels rebalanced. Mine shook above 75, turned out to be bad balancing. Now it's good til 90, then starts to shake a bit.

    Transmission Fluid Flush??

Thanks. I'll probably just use new fluid when I eventually drop the pan, AC Delco Dex VI is cheap now, just $21 a gallon on Amazon. Plus another drain and fill is always good peace of mind.

    Transmission Fluid Flush??

Can the previously linked flush method be done without changing the filter? It looks so easy to do, minus removing the pan, that I'd like to do it sooner rather than later. I still plan to drop the pan and change the filter, but does it have to be done at the same time as the flush?

Questions to owners of 07-13 Suburban/Yukon XL 2500s

I have been kicking around the idea of trading my LTZ for a more basic, lower mile 2500. - How is the ride with the torsion bar front and leaf spring rear? - How is the 6.0 LY6 on power, does it ever leave you wanting more? I love the 6.0 in my 1500, but it's an L76, slightly up on hp and down...

FINALLY pulled the trigger on a 3" leveling kit

Wow that's tall. Are you 2wd? What type of spacer was it, top+bottom or just top?

Oil pan gasket on a 4x4

Has anyone ever done this job? I suspect my gasket is leaking; every oil change both the rear of the pan and the front axle, right below the front of the pan, are wet with oil. I figure for the $30 for the gasket and (hopefully) just a few hours of my time it's worth the try. I know I'll have...

Free XM? Way louder than everything else

I've only ever had the preview channel, channel 1, when not subscribed. I've got the 6 months for $30 deal going on now, but to me it's not any louder than the aux source.

    What'll it take...?

The "want to do eventually" list: some bigger tires, I'm thinking 275/70r18, a gear swap (3.42 to 3.73), tint all around, exhaust. The "need to do eventually" list: trans drain and fill (been putting it off because it looks like such a huge pain to drop the pan), new brakes/rotors, brake fluid...

leveling kit, rough ride & still rubbing with 33s

Can you post a side shot or a few pics of your Tahoe with the 275/70r18s? I've been interested in this tire size for a while. Thanks!

    Potential Z71 buy

You can't test it without driving it, but some GMT900s have a clunk coming from the rear under heavy acceleration that IIRC is caused by a bad slip yoke design. Also 2011 is def. a good year because you get the 6L80e and supposedly "fixed" AFM lifters. And since it's a Z71 it probably has the...

Bose Premium - possible to replace stock sub, keep all else the same?

I'd like a little bit more bass with my stock Bose Premium system but would prefer to keep everything as simple and stock as possible because I'm kind of dumb when it comes to electrics and wiring. I'm wondering if it's possible to simply remove the wires from the stock sub and run them to a 8"...

    Bluetooth - Hands Free Calling

Did NNBS head units ever have Bluetooth audio capability? I think I read somewhere that they added it in 2010 along with the USB capability.

Will Autotrack II hurt my transfer case?

All 4x4 (non-AWD) 07 GMT900s, both trucks and SUVs, call for Autotrak II. I believe TexasDaddy is correct when he said the change to DexVI happened in 08. All 08+ non-AWD GMT900 transfer cases should be filled with 2 quarts of DexVI from the factory. Just checked my 09's manual, it does indeed...

    Fine grained VIN decoder?

Unfortunately the VIN won't tell you which options a truck has. For that you'd need to see the RPO sticker, which is typically inside the glovebox. Each 3 letter code corresponds to either an option or an option delete. Use this site to find out what they mean...

    Tinted Windshield 16 Yukon XL

Good points. The chip was there when I bought it; 15k miles later and it hasn't spread at all. How much does repair usually run?

Let's see some pics of some lifted and leveled

01Konvict, thanks! I'll tackle that project soon. This one's not mine, but I was searching the internet for leveled NNBS pics, found this blacked out Yukon, and just had to share it. Yukon XL on 285/70r17 and 2.5" front only.

    Left Hand GM900 Per Mirror

Are these power fold as well? I need a power folding gear/motor and mirror movement motor.... but for my right side. Let me see if I can figure out if the parts are the same on both sides, if so, I may be interested

    2011 Yukon black headlamps

These are well-rated, OEM style with black housings, but still $180. But I'd sooner go with those than aftermarkets halos from Anzo/Spyder. Also, how is it owning a black vehicle in Arizona? Does your interior heat up like crazy during the summer?

    Tinted Windshield 16 Yukon XL

These tinted windshield pics are really making me want to do mine. My windshield does have one rock chip, about .5cm across. Will this prevent them from tinting it?

    AFM Question

It is the same 4 cylinders every time. 1, 7, 4, and 6. It doesn't mean that the pistons stop moving, just that combustion is turned off in those cylinders, so inconsistent wear shouldn't be an issue.

00-14 1" Billet rear coil spring spacers

Selling 1" Summit Racing billet aluminum rear spacers/leveling kit. They were only on for a few thousand miles. I decided to replace with 2" to get some rake back. Normal wear and tear from being under the springs. $15 shipped.

    Nav making sounds

The constant disc reading is apparently normal, or so I've been told by my dealer. I have no idea why the nav would need to read the disc when the truck is turned off, but whatever. Your other two issues are problems - perhaps your battery is dying from a bad ground, double check the ground you...

    Ceramic paint

For chips, you'd be better off getting an exact color-match touch up kit. I got mine from paintscratch.com; it was pricey at $50, but I think that's because of my WDT paint. Standard colors should be cheaper. Faded clearcoat, unfortunately, requires repainting to fully repair.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Was it a tough job? Or if you took it to a shop... was it expensive?
