    Leveling Kits!

While we're on the subject of leveling kits, what are the differences between spacers that are installed below the shock and spacers that are installed above the shock? Obviously the location but I mean in terms of ride quality, or whether travel is affected.

How to tell if rims are OEM or replicas?

Thanks man, I'll check it out next time I have the rims off. Or better yet, can it be seen from just looking under the truck, or would it be covered by the brakes? I'm in the Las Cruces NM area.

How to tell if rims are OEM or replicas?

At some point in my Suburban's lifetime, the PO exchanged the stock 20s for 22" CK916s. Or maybe it was ordered like that - I really don't know. I got it from a dealership and have no way of contacting the last owner. Anyway, I want to switch to new-style LTZ 20s because I prefer more sidewall...

    Oil leak ...great.

I have a similar looking leak in my (recently purchased) 09 Suburban 6.0L, and I think it's coming from the pan gasket, since it's coming from too far up to be the filter or drain plug. I haven't had it up on a lift yet to check it out, and it certainly doesn't help that this engine has a...

Lol, thanks guys. Guess I need to get my eyes checked.

Let's see some pics of some lifted and leveled

I found this pic of a Burban during a google search and the stance looks pretty good to me. Can anyone give me their best guess on level/tire size? I'm assuming a 1.5" front spacer with nothing on the rear and the tires look slightly larger than stock but it's tough to tell.

    Leveling Kits!

Nice man. Let us know which ones you decide on. There's plenty of info on levels on the forum but not so much on aftermarket UCAs. Heck I would probably want to run an aftermarket UCA on a 2.5" front level just for peace of mind and extra assurance.

Can A 09 Tahoe Grill Fit on the Hybrid

Tough to say, I thought all Tahoe Hybrids had a one piece grille/bumper, making it impossible to replace the entire grille assembly (upper and lower vents only, since the crossbar is part of the one piece). Take a look at where the grille meets the front bumper - is there a gap there or is it...

How To: Setup Auto Ride for Lifts

Thanks man. Yeah, I just spent the last half hour reading this thread and various others about leveling auto-ride trucks. Looks like the CCM kit has no issues with auto-ride.

Can A 09 Tahoe Grill Fit on the Hybrid

Upper grille insert will probably fit, but the lower is shaped slightly differently between hybrids and non-hybrids, and won't fit.

How To: Setup Auto Ride for Lifts

I have no problem with extending the rods for auto ride, if that's what's necessary for a rear spacer. How would the front level work though, with the magneride?

How To: Setup Auto Ride for Lifts

I know this thread is about lifts, but are there any options for 2" front/1" rear leveling kits that don't mess with Magneride and Autoride? I have an 09 LTZ.

Wow, not too often you see a lifted white diamond tricoat. Looks excellent. Off topic, how do you like those in-channel window visors?

Best way to wake up my 6.0?

Hi all, just picked up a 2009 Suburban 1500 with the 6.0/6 speed combo, well cared for and completely stock, and honestly it feels like a dog. Feels like there's more power there that's being suppressed. It has the 3.42 gears so I'm sure that contributes to it. But what are some things I can do...

Let's see some pics of some lifted and leveled

Might be a strange pic request, but does anyone have any pics of leveled Tahoes on LTZ 22" rims with a/t or m/t tires? I think Nitto is the only one who makes a/ts or m/ts for rims that large, but I could be wrong.

What are the LTZ only features?

Yeah, they're pretty rare - IIRC there were less than 2000 6.0/1500 Suburbans made in those three years. Most of the ones I'm finding for sale have around 165-185000 miles, so I'm holding out til I can find one with fewer miles. In something as heavy (especially with all LTZ options)as the...

What are the LTZ only features?

Actually I found out that the 1500 Sub was offered with a 6.0 for only three years, 07-09. It's a different version (or different tune?) than the 6.0 in the 2500 that puts it up on hp and down on torque a little.

    6.0 4 speed vs 6.0 6 speed?

I've been looking for used Suburban 1500 LTZs with the 6.0L, and have noticed that 07-08 6.0s with the 4 speed are often several thousand cheaper than 09 6.0s with the 6 speed (both having the same miles). Is the 6 speed that much better that it;s worth the extra expense? Also, in my price...

What are the LTZ only features?

Thanks for your reply. I was looking at Suburbans, which is why it had the 6.0. I had no idea that power running boards were ever a factory option, that's interesting.

What are the LTZ only features?

Hi all, I recently found a 2008 Suburban LT for sale that seems to have all the options of the LTZ package - 6.0, nav, leather, sunroof, power seats, Bose sound, backup sensors, backup cam. Are there any options/standard features on the LTZ that simply are not available on the LT? Is air ride...

    Changes for 2017?

It would be nice if they made the 6.2 an option on high trim Suburbans. Why is it available for the Silverado and not the Suburban? The world may never know.
