    For those who have done AFM delete/cam swaps

    If I get the heads resurfaced by a machine shop do I need thicker head gaskets or can I use my new stock ones? Or do I need to resurface at all? Truck has never overheated but machine shop said he "recommend" that I have them resurfaced.

    Yeah I thought it didn't look stock, had to wipe it to see the logo. The rear springs are sitting on the axle so no spacer there. Can these be removed and leave the longer bolts? I've noticed this truck squats a bit and maybe this is what's causing it?

    Mine didn't come with either....from what I have read active VVT had a 5 pin connector on the pigtail that connects to the sensor on the timing cover........mine only has a 3 pin connector(NON-VVT) from what I have read, I actually got this info from summit on the description on the VVT delete...

    Yeah I know, but like I said there was a year or so where GM installed these things in the engine and did NOT activate them, so some trucks have all the gear to be VVT like a cam phaser but the way you know if it is active is if you have a 5 pin connector on the sensor that is on the timing...
