Yeah I know, but like I said there was a year or so where GM installed these things in the engine and did NOT activate them, so some trucks have all the gear to be VVT like a cam phaser but the way you know if it is active is if you have a 5 pin connector on the sensor that is on the timing cover the NON active VVT units have a 3 pin connector. The 2 extra pins on the VVT models are the ones that come to the VVT selinoid for the oil. That is what I have come up with through reasearch here on the forum and Google. I've been looking into this alot.Cam Phaser is VVT. The second journal has a groove for VVT oiling. BTR cam is probably non-VVT so you'll need to delete it and turn it off in the tune.
