    Lowering options for 2017 Yukon

Sorry, just saw your question. Mine is kinda Frankensteined together. I went with McGauhy’s rear 2”, and then the 2” front drop cups with two spacers (supposed to drop 1”). Found out the front dropped too far (for me) and the stock front struts sucked, so I ended up putting the cups on...

    15 Z71 Bilstein Install Front

I actually ended up double-nutting my upper mounts. The Bilstein nuts never fit right, so I got four nuts, torqued the bottom two and then used the upper two as a lock nut. Trust me, sitting in a parking lot 300 miles from home trying to tighten the upper strut bolts is no fun!

    130k miles require valve ajustment?

That is still too loud for the injectors. Was there anything in the oil when you changed it? Like metal or shavings, or ???

What would cause keyless entry not to work?

Have you tried re-installing the rear seat and see if it works again? It shouldn't, it should just be a red herring. A lot of people have removed the rear seat with no impact on keyless entry, including myself. By not working, do the doors not lock with keyless entry, not unlock with keyless...

Rear seat removed. Loss keyless entry.

The module is just for power fold. I took my seat out and did not affect keyless entry AT ALL.

    Lowering options for 2017 Yukon

Neither will put you leveled. Measure from the ground to the fender lip on level ground at all four corners. Measure through the center of the hub. Typical rake is 1-1/2”, so most experience a little rear sag with 2” springs (I did), then you need to lower the front 1” to get back front rake...

Wilwood brakes installed! Won’t bleed! Help please

Also, I believe the Wildwoods require adapters and new hoses. Make sure there is nothing blocking either the hose or adapter. I have used all three methods to bleed. As long as proper procedure is followed, there should be no problems. (I prefer vac as last time I used pressure, the hose...

    130k miles require valve ajustment?

Could also be injectors. The direct injection fuel injectors make a minor audible ticking sound when standing outside the truck. A slight tick is normal. Especially if the black plastic valve cover covers have been removed. If it is loud, like bolts in coffee can loud, it is not normal.

Do your 3rd row seats fold down flat?

I have keyless entry. I did not lose anything when I removed the seat, just weight. I would look for other causes. There is really no reason I know of that the third row impacts keyless entry.

Do your 3rd row seats fold down flat?

Same here. My third seat folds flat—it’s folded flat in storage right now! I, too, got tired of everting spilling out when I opened the rear hatch. With the help of this forum, I yanked that puppy out and got a flat floor and more storage room. Very nice.

    15 Z71 Bilstein Install Front

Be sure to take pics before you take apart everything. Especially of the upper spring seat. They are “clocked” and knowing where they were when it came apart will help in putting it back together—don’t ask how I know! Be careful of the stabilizer end links. I had one stripped from GM. Note...

Escalade side mirrors on a Tahoe LTZ!

Are those the Escalade lighted door handles as well (or stock Denali?)?

Cup holder cover stuck. How to remove.

That piece removes. Open the center console lid. I think there may be some screws there. After removing the screws, start at the back and start pulling upward unlatching the clips. Work to the front and when at the front pull backward to the rear. Pull smartly buy don’t bust it.

Anyone changed/removed factory running board So?

Looking for pics of aftermarket running boards or nerf bars like N-fab or Iron Cross or even Amp motorized running boards. Looking for more ground clearance and strength/protection. The factory boards are well integrated, but low and not the strongest. How was installation? Would you do it...

Show off your 2015-2020 lowered tahoes and yukons

It won’t pull out 1”. Like said, you would need a 1” front drop for that. I did heater hose and it pulls out about 1/8” per isolator (depending-because the isolator compress). So with upper and lower isolator you can get 1/4” to maybe 3/8”...

Thoughts? 2017 Factory Exec Tahoe LT Signature Pckg

I do have a child, but wanted a second row bench for precisely the same reason. Glad I did, it has worked wonderfully. I even removed the third row (thanks to this forum) and the second row bench is even more useful!

HRE wheels & Baer brakes feeler

Like most have said here, strip it and sell privately. If you get anything you will be money ahead. Some people look at vehicles with aftermarket parts and say, “Oh, they have aftermarket parts. They must have driven the vehicle hard/hot rodded it around... I don’t want that vehicle, it’s...

Replace stock shocks or bilstein 5100?

It’s a matter of opinion. What ride quality do you like? I like a controlled ride and am willing to give up a little bit of comfort (otherwise known as wallow!) I went with the bilsteins and will not go back to factory. None of my riders have complained of a rough ride. Just depends on what...

    Transmission fluid change

There is a lot of “junk” in a new transmission—and I don’t believe in 100k OEM fluids. Changed the Tahoe at 2k and 25k. Used full synthetic. Works great and shifts well. Fluid changes are like opinions. Everyone has one and believes their way is best! If nothing else, go by the factory...

    2017 Yukon SLT Options Question

In the Chevrolet it is the "Luxury Package"--the same one that gives keyless entry, push-button start, etc... I can imagine it is the same in the Yukon, however, trying to build a 2018 I couldn't get it to put one on--it might be a Denali only thing?

    2018 Tahoe Premier and 22" all-terrain tires

A lot depends on the tires, and inflation pressure. Load rated tires overinflated will ride like a ... well, it will ride like a truck with load-rated tires that are overinflated. The MRC will ride better, but it won't be a "magic carpet". Might look for an all-terrain that are xl vs load...

    Armor All for Dashboard

Second Chemical Guys. I use Inner Clean often. Works wonders. For heavy-duty cleaning I also use Lexol Vinylex. I like Vinylex on exterior trim, inlcluding tires. They are both great products. Have fun!

Has anyone upgraded sway bars yet on 15+?

I used a set of Hellwig adjustable for the rear. Very good quality, many different lengths, and great support! Highly recommended.
