    Please help!!! $400 wasted??

I would call or better yet, go by your local 4wd shop or transmission shop and ask them. I've never had an issue with mine and actually have a spare one on the bench in the shop but I've never bothered to look at it that closely. Good luck, let us know what you find out. Sent from my...

Pulled the front diff now I'm stumped

A 99' Tahoe and Suburban with a 5.7L and a 4l60e use the same transfer case. Its GM # 24228422, its listed as a model 241C. I would think any newer body style trucks or suv's might mount differently. Call a dealership parts dept with your vin and the vin of the donor vehicle and see if they have...

    What's the best way??

Remove the front and rear driveshafts, unplug all electical connections. Remove the crossmember to frame bolts. A transmission jack would be the best if you have access to one. Place it under the transfer, remove the bolts that connect it to the tramsmission. You'll habe to keep the trans and...

Pulled the front diff now I'm stumped

Check the tag on the back of the transfer case. I would think they would be the same, both should be autotrac transfer cases in 99'. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

I've had similar transmission issues like that in the past. I made the mistake when i was younger with using the trans shop that had the cheaper price...one time i made it all of 5 miles and the transmission swarmed! Lol Live and learn Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

    Tahoe suffered a thermal event . . .

If it were mine, I'd spend the extra 2,900.00 and get another engine. If you replace the heads, it's still possible that the block could be cracked. Having 164 K miles on it already, who knows what next....maybe a weak oil pump, worn lobe on the cam, worn main bearings etc. Normally these...

    Gas leak 99 escalade

If you filled it up so that there was fuel sitting in the filler hose, and the hose clamp is loose then thats a possibility. I'd check the rubber filler hose and vent hose clamps, also the fuel lines to the fuel pump. If there is a fuel line issue and its leaking, I would think the truck...

    93 gmc suburban sle questions

Hook it up to a scanner and check what it says the coolant temp is. It's reading temp by the coolant sensor not the sending unit for the guage. If your temp on thw scanner shows to be close to what you believe it should be running, then i'd say you have a bad temp sending unit. Sent from my...

    Maf sensor

A 94' has a throttle body so it doesn't have a MAF sensor. Starting in 96' with the Vortec engines, they have MAF sensors. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

    Thinking of buying 94 Tahoe

Sounds about right for a $2500 truck! Lol! Alot of good interior parts can be found at salvage yards. The a/c probably needs a compressor or possibly just a leak. Switch or motor for the window. If this is going to be a project truck and you can take your time with it, it doesn't sound any...

    Thinking of buying 94 Tahoe

Loose steering is unfortunately pretty common in these trucks after racking up 100k + miles. Worse case scenario, it would need a steering sector, pitman arm, idler arm, all 4 tie rods. I would check the ball joints and control arm bushings as well. If you have the tools needed for the job...

    Frustrated

Even if your check engine light came on momentarily it should still show trouble codes. Check under "pending codes" and "freeze frame data" also, that should give you an idea of what the issue is.

    Dreaded P1351 and no start- 96 tahoe 4x4 5.7

I would put it TDC on #1 cylinder and verify that you have the distributor stabbed correctly. It's very easy to get it installed incorrectly. It sounds like you have checked out everything else it could possibly be. Good Luck!

    Help... Blower motor or switch?

The 2 light's on there are using the switch that came with them. Thats an older pic and I've got 2 smaller PIAA driving lights between them now. Those are hooked up to a factory fog lamp switch in the dash. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
