Adding some HP and getting rid of DOD

So far everything has gone well. Since the Tahoe has 237k on it they were surprised to see there wasn't any sludge, just the normal bronze looking residue from the oil getting hot. I didn't like seeing it but the shop said it was normal. They got the new valve springs in as well. I will post a...

Adding some HP and getting rid of DOD

I am hoping to do that, They just brought up a Chevy SS PU and doing a full run on the Dyno. It has a single Turbo on it. I am hoping I will pull some decent HP with my few mods.

How many of you guys are cammed?

When I called and and told the what I was wanting they suggested it. I wanted to keep everything stock without changing the torque converter. My son suggest that I need to put long tube headers on it because when it gets tuned they will have to deal with the catalytic converters heating up...

    Diablosport tuner to Blackbear performance???

I would do the autocal with BBP, If you need more power and have a few extra buck to spend you can put a pro charger on it. btw, get rid of the K&N, what a hunk of junk they have turned out to be. Stock factory filters flow better. I will never use a oil based filter again.

    Handheld tuner and AFM

After reading alot about disabling AFM I have reached the conclusion that the best way is to remove the crap and delete it out of the motor. Tuning it out still has the same problem. I went to Texas Speed Performance and got a DOD Delete with cam. HP tuners will do the tuning for me. I expect...

Adding some HP and getting rid of DOD

I want a few HP's without going full bore. This cam allows me to maintain a stock torque converter and hopefully maintain decent mpg. The drawback is it will have a little lope to it at idle but keeping the stock emissions and exhaust on it I will be ok. I live in a sniff free state so I don't...

    Loving my SSV

I would ditch the Rhino push bar. They are not made very well and the bolts start to rust pretty quick. I removed mine and put a ranch hand on mine and never looked back. Far better protection.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

He had the hardest time cutting the sealant loose. It was hard as a rock. He broke his cutting wire 2 times. He told me it should only take 1.5 hours. I ended up helping him because it was getting dark and the bugs were eating us up.

Adding some HP and getting rid of DOD

eventually I want to install headers and dual exhaust but keeping the exhaust tone as close to stock as possible. My intentions are to appear stock and not make any contributions to any city or state general funds and most importantly keep my insurance rates down.

Adding some HP and getting rid of DOD

Oh yeah for sure, I will changing the timing chain. I haven't thought about changing the oil pump. I will have to think about that. So far what I am doing will cost 1k including the dyno tune so I think this will be a cheap HP increase

    Front Dash Crack

I have had the dash replaced on my 07 Tahoe, 2010 Suburban, and my 2009 Silverado 2500HD. I bought Dash Mats for all of them. My contact at the dealer has heard the plastic material is the biggest problem, Just like the Dodge Dashes had in the late 90's and early 2000's
