I will be sure to post pics for future references for the forums. Hard to believe no one has pics. I know I am not the first one to install them on a two door lol
Surely someone has put these on their 2 door in this group. Need some advice/opinions on where to drill the clevis bolt hole in frame. Instruction/pictures that came with install are not the same. I have attached the instructions sheet and a picture of my 99 2 door frame. I think I need to drill...
Got the bars in. Front installed no problem, but these install directions for the rear suck @$$, similar to the RCX 6”lift kit. And of course cant find anything on youtube for the 1999 hoe.
I honestly think it will be night and day difference. With the torsion bars cranked up on front and no stability on the rear, i have always hated how touchie the front steering was. I dont know why I never thought about it being body roll. I will definitely keep you guys updated. I am almost...
Heres what I came up with. Looking at the reviews, it appears many have put these on their 2 doors.

Several years ago, I put a 6" RC Lift on my 1999 2-Door Tahoe. I have never really liked how the body roll is. My Tahoe did not come with rear sway bars. Who can hook me up with a link to buy some aftermarket rear sway bar links to help control my body roll. TIA
It is really not as bad as you think. There is an excellent “how-to” on youtube. I watched it Several times before I finally decided to Do it. It’s a lot of stuff to do but nothing terribly hard
I had the same problem with mine a few weeks ago. If you have the barn doors, there will be tabs on the door jam up at the top that are likely tarnished. I cleaned the 4 on the passnger side and the two on the driver side and mine works perfectly. May make sure that the buttons are going in and out.
I recently changed the dash out in my 1999 2 Door Tahoe. I went to the junkyard and removed a dash from a 1997 Chevy Silverado 2WD. When I swapped the dash out, I had to use my original wiring harness due to the 2WD not having the 4WD Plugins etc. Is anyone in need of this harness ? I dont know...
mine would do this. I ended up replacing the spider injectors. Fixed my problem. Do some more reading on some of the other topics and it could possibly be a leaking fuel regulator under the intake cover, or leaking spider injectors, causing the engine to flood when its cold.
Let me know. I changed mine. Mine has made noise since I have changed my gearing from 3:73 to 4:56. I was hoping it was just a break in period but still does it. The noise was non-existent before the gear change.
Cant believe no one has replied.
From what I can tell you is this:
You need a front end alignment
Vibration is coming from the driveshaft not being aligned correctly. Look through more of the forums, there is lots of talk about what was done to fix the issues. Yours is not a 2 Door, so you...
I have a simialar issue but I have diagnosed mine to be the front differential.
With front driveshaft out - whines on acceleration.
With front driveshaft in - whines on acceleration.
With front driveshaft in and vehicle in 4WD - no noises period.

Yours sounds like a bad connection to me. I would unplug your lights and grease them up with electrical grease and reconnect them. Sounds like a bad connection for sure.
Simply pop the belt off and see if anything changes.
It would be possible the timing chain jumped when you turned the motor off and when you went to crank, you have a piston and a valve touching. I would try and turn the motor the opposite way and see if if will move one way and then lock up...
I would think the 1996 through 1999 would be nearly the same. I do not know 100% but I have never looked at them side by side. If you are going to consider swapping engines, a couple things to consider.
1. How many miles on the other engine ? It is a couple years older. If mileage is high, like...
