Thank you. Appreciate it.
Funny you mention the stance. I'm very happy with how this settled... and of course I have to lift it back up in order to install offset bushings (at some point) to correct the camber up front. Which means it has to settle again.
And yes, the bumper is holding up...
And today the shitahoe received some tint...
It is so awesome having tint again, I forgot how effective it actually is lol. Tomorrow will be the wife's Explorer.
Not necessarily through body, but it's pulled up into the body a bit. May help with the modification.. You will have to move some wiring that is mounted above the exhaust tip if you plan to take the cutout higher though, just keep that in mind.
Sorry, been pretty busy.
The bow-tie isn't for everyone, and I'm good with that. It's basically me letting the kid in me out. I like to have some "fun" with the builds I do and little things like that is what keeps it interesting to me.
I have a few more ideas in my noggin that I plan to try...
I'll probably stick with the stock hood for a while. I have ideas though. Would love to find one without the crease down the center personally but haven't seen one.
First, I really need a work bench and a bigger garage.
Second, it was getting dark and the cross bar and some spots on the bumper need buffed, then waxed.
Yes, it is cleared and it looks fantastic. lol...
Haven't taken photos of the work I've done the past couple days but that is simply because I am just getting it ready for color. Should be able to lay the color down tomorrow, along with clear coat.
Have to fix some cracks but they're in places that have a lot of stress applied to it when flexing. I honestly think I'm just going to need to get a new cross bar. Or cut the center out of this but that opens another can of worms.
Final coat of bondo to fill the low spots and then I'll sand it smooth. Then it should be ready for primer.
Also fixed some cracks in the crossbar.
Last photo shows my wicked good hand painting skills. Had a similar designed bow tie on the last truck, figured I'd do something similar with...
that's the plan.
I'm a huge fan of the different colored roof on as suv. I'll probably go glosss black when this gets a real paint job to correct the paint.
could... But it's too common for my personal taste
