    80 grit sand paper on both surfaces. went through the chrome on the metal and roughed the plastic up really good

    Of all things that I probably shouldn't use... Bondo. Tried the "gold class" stuff this time and it's really easy to work with. But the first batch went on and stuck really well with the metal and plastic with how i prepped each surface.

    Roof rack is installed. One looks like crap but will eventually be fixed when I respray the roof. And the console lid is in.

    Yeah, love the idea of the phantom grill with the boxed sides to give it an old-school muscle look to the front end. Maybe one day that will happen. Unfortunately, time is not prevalent at the moment so the HD front end will have to do. Especially since I have everything in the garage to do it...

    I've looked at supercharging it, but I like the driving characteristics of a turbo based on what I have driven in the past. But I will say, I won't say it that it's off the table.

    That is a good point... I really didn't take into account the fact there are quite a few miles on this hunk of hulk greenness... I've already been tuned, and the Tahoe can run like an ape on catnip, but it's still an ape. Personally I'm pleased with the shifting as it sits right now.. Damnit...

    I should... but honestly I am pretty happy with how it shifts. Unless the servos do a little more for these things than what I am accustomed to seeing on my old truck. It would increase the shift firmness with the Colorados, but that's about it. @Fosscore

    You two are observant. Going to move forward with the grille idea, and alter it if I hate it once built. The front bumper, I don't want to run a cover but I still want something different. Saw this on a purple Tahoe and loved it... Also love the small details that no one else would notice...
