My 2004 Chevy Tahoe LT, I’ve yet to add anything that isn’t stock to this car. Lately I have noticed a random chirping sound coming from under the drivers side of the dash. It is very random as it will not happen on my short commute home from work, but maybe a commute across town. Sometimes it happens as I let off of the brake and sometimes it happens just driving straight down the road. It also chirps when I turn off the car, this being from 1-3 chirps and even when the car is off it still chirps randomly after a couple minutes it will stop.

It is very annoying and I have no way to try and track the noise down in the driveway as it only happens while driving down the road. I couldn’t find the answer on a separate thread so I guess I’ll try my luck here! Anything helps, thank you

It’s a chirp from electronics not a metal on medal like brakes right? Do you know if the previous owner installed an after market alarm? You have a fuse panel down there but I’m not sure why it was chirp. More folks will chime in.

What if the folks will 'chirp in' instead of 'chime in'? :p

I’ve had the car since new I haven’t messed with the fuses or anything like that, it’s definitely electronic it comes from the drivers side speaker and happens even if the radio is off. I get my car serviced often but my mechanic can’t find out what it’s coming from so I thought I’d ask around and find if I could fix it

Do you happen to have an electronic device installed on the OBD port?

The only thing that inside the dash by the driver side is electronic modules.

That chirp sounds like it's coming from the chime speaker.

I don’t have anything connected or installed on the OBD port I only occasionally connect a code reader to check if I have an engine light. My Tahoe does have trailer brakes I’m not sure if this information helps but I’ll try my best to tell you everything my car is equipped with so I can find out what’s failing
