Yeah I am thinking of just aborting mission. The Roku stick has all kinds of interference going through the a/v converter. It displays but you hear a constant audio noise in addition to the content that is playing
I am using an hdmi to a/v converter but perhaps the one I got is just crappy
Factory amp, I am just trying to do as plug n play install as possible so everything I bought just plugs right in. I used the maestro RR with the iDatalink HRN-HRR-GM2, iDatalink HRN-AV-GM2 and iDatalink ACC-HU-KEN1 (adapts the harness so it plugs right into the kenwood)
There's an AMP...
Still doing it even after amp adapter was connected. Does not do it with stock head unit. It’s not something I can live with so I’ll call around Monday for answers
So I confirmed this works without dual zone on the kenwood.
I had to take it all out though because there’s an unbearable static noise through the speakers even when volume is off. Big time disappointment not sure if it’s the wiring or the head unit. I used all plug and play connectors so I...
CarPlay in front and my laptop to the middle screen
I will just need to wire up the rear screen now and I think I’m good with this head unit it fits my needs
Okay confirmed it doesn’t have dual output but I don’t really care about that because it allows display to the rear screen while having car play up front
I simply had to use the av in and not the hdmi in
Starting to think I just bought the wrong head unit for what I wanted. I wanted to play stuff to the rear screen while having carplay up front. This doesn't have anything to switch any A/V outputs to different zones...
So I got my laptop displaying on the front screen but nothing on the rears. I am not sure if it will only work from the RCA input from the rear of the center console or something. I dont have something to test with, Illl need rca to hdmi converter to test
So I got the usb to work. The metal contact was definitely not the right shape. I removed the plastic from the adapter and forced it on. The metal reformed to the shape of the connector and it works now.
