    I friend just bought a 05 Tahoe, 120,000 miles that the airbag light is on. The seller stated it was the sensor but the dealer wanted $500 to remove the bumper and replace the sensor so it's still on.     Bad wheel bearings?

    How many miles on the truck? 158,000 on mine when it started making noise on left turns. Turned out to be wheel bearing. Replaced both when I put in drop spindles, problem solved. Not an uncommon issue but it can be a ***** to get the old bearing out.

    Been there, done that. I feel your pain. Replaced mine with a Dorman part then sprayed Fluid Film everywhere I could. It tough living in NJ where they put enough salt on the road to turn it white at the hint of snow.

    I just did this last week to my 04, nice subtle upgrade. I used double stick tape and pop riveted it, then painted it and all the other plastic pieces of the front bumper black. One of the less expensive mods to do.....
