Arnott AS-2700, what is this pin?

Yes, thats how it works. Stupid idea if its for shipping, just to save packaging space? You can see the one pin, I was messing around with it and its now too far to pull out.

Arnott AS-2700, what is this pin?

My Arnott rear premium AS-2700 shocks came in yesterday. I noticed there are these 2 pins at the top on the machined aluminum, 180 degrees from eachother. As I was testing out the compression and rebound of these it seems they slightly came outward and now the shock piston extends another 3-4...

    Any Opinions on KYB's?

I had the gas a just on my 01 Grand Marquis and loved them. Much better handling and not harsh or too firm. Perfect balance.

    Monroe Autoride shocks

Just a warning, there is NO warranty at all on them. I was going with them, but changed my mind, what if it fails in 30 days? None, no return, just pay another $250. I just ordered some billy 4600 and resistors for the front. Rears, I ordered Arnott AS2700.

Any tricks to removing the upper ball joint?

Separating the ball joint stud from knuckle? I find using 2 pickle forks work well with a BFH. Air-Chisel with pickle forks are great if you have air tools. Did you pound upward under the UCA? You may need some heat. Good luck.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Picked up some old 4 tone horns from a Buick Roadmaster at the Junkyard during lunchtime for $3 a piece. They are single wire, so i guess i need to ground my other wire. You think the stock relay can handle all 4?

    2005 Yukon with 193,000 miles

Could be something as easy as a bad wheel bearing hub and ABS sensor going bad. Too much of gamble for me to not pull the AbS codes and buy as is. I wouldnt go higher than $2500.

    Arnott shocks

Thanks. Im not totally deleting the autoride. Im torn on the Arnott AS-2700 (non-electric air shock) or the Monroe 40034 (OE electronic air shock) difference of $50. Leaning towards the Monroe. Fronts Im still deciding on Billy 4600 or Fox 2.0.

    Arnott shocks

Aside from paint Thanks. I know you cant tell by looking at pictures. But besides paint, the Monroe Relfex Monotube looks just like the Arnott Premium Monotube. YOu think They rebranded them and upped the price?

    Arnott shocks

What front shocks did you use? At Shockwarehouse.com They have the Arnott premium Monotube SK-2814 for $188 and cheaper one (probably twin tube). Would a regular 4600 for $70 or Fox 2.0 (985-02-009) for $130 be good for the front?

Thinking about going back to a factory muffler

If you go Walker, get the Stainless Steel. I had a a regular 3" aluminized Walker Sound FX on my lifted V8 Jeep WJ. It rusted out in 10 months. Sounded good (quiet) before it fell apart. Im looking at these for mine: with a straight through SS magnaflow knock-off for $194 shipped...

    Preparing to replace 4L60e myself.

Transmission Adaptive Functions (Source: AllData) The 4L60-E transmission utilizes a line pressure control system during upshifts to compensate for the normal wear of transmission components. By adjusting the line pressure, the PCM can maintain acceptable transmission shift times. This process...

Thank you, factual post without ad-hominem comments. Thanks for the data. You're correct the shift times do not change but I do feel the line pressure changes (adaptations) like I stated previously. I may not have been as specific about what changed.

Really? Thanks. I wonder how the newer non-Bilsteins compare, they look cheaper.
