Update after drive to work and around town: I still have that strange whistle noise at 2300+ RPM... I guess it was not the gasket making that noise. Runs great no CEL.
Mine did the flashing CEL thing when it sucked up a bunch of steam through my bad intake gaskets in the car wash. Rough as hell idle couldn't d get it above 2500 rpm, cleared up when the doors opened to the car wash and i drove it out in the dry air. Hope it helps. Just changed my intake...
Got her done. Watched a bunch of videos. Left the fuel rail on and did not disconnect the cooland lines for the TB. Nice idle now, smooth as glass. Did not have time for t-stat or coolant change, next weekend. A lot of oil inside the intake. My Harbor Freight 3/8" torque wrench does not know...
Had Powerstop set on my wife's Torrent. They were ok until a seized caliper killed one. The humming/buzzing with braking gets very annoying. I now prefer blank rotors. In our trucks it might not buzz as much since these trucks are NOT unibody and will not transmit as much NVH. You cant beat...
(I can't change my title spelling error) I'm finally able to replace my bad intake gasket giving me a whistle sound, rough idle at times and Bank 1&2 running lean codes.
I have the new:
-Fel-pro gasket set MS9016T
-AC Delco 15-11057 T-stat and water inlet assembly
-Dorman knock sensor harness...
Yes, it is street legal. I have 3 year Antique plates, no DOT or weight restrictions, and insurance is $142 a year. :happy160:
I heard about that "Texas-Ice"... Be Careful, stay safe!!!
Quick question what coolant do we use in our trucks? Im doing my intake gasket soon along with other stuff under and t-stat. I want to replace all the coolant from radiator too.
I appreciate your reply, glad we could help eachother out. I now have confidence this should fix it! My garage is full of kitchen cabinets waiting to be installed and a 500 lb Cannon gun safe that needs to be brought in the basement .... so im stuck outside. I would love to have a heater in there.
Thats awesome, good work! Glad to hear. My whistle is year round noise too. Im just waiting for ithe weather to warm up to tackle this job and ordered all the parts I listed from Amazon. The garage is too full of crap this winter. Did you watch a video or is there a write-up? How many...
I too have these problems with these 2 codes just after a long trip from MD to MI and back in the cold blast of winter. I experienced them after I got back and went through the enclosed touchless car wash. There was a lot of vapor/steam in the air since it was 10 degrees out, it began to idle...
They Yukon got us to MI and back to MD safely over the new Years weekend. I love this truck!!!! It Never hesitated or slowly cranked in the -10 degree weather. But now after a steamy car wash it threw some codes P0171, P0174 with slight hesitation at WOT and slight rough idle.
Figured I would bump this instead of cluttering and starting a new one.

Yeah. I know. I was hoping it was easy. I have done this numerous times on my old Jeep. I always said I would buy a new cover with a drain plug and never did, LOL.
Have anyone replaced the rear one yet? Mine buzzes and I have No Heat in the rear at all, even on max temp. A/C works fine. I bought two of these sensors, one for front and rear. My front finally stopped buzzing and died totally and have no heat until i put HVAC control on max (in front)...
So does anybody have a tutorial for removing the REAR ceiling sensor??? That's a lot of headliner to come down unless there is an easier way? Im replacing my front one tonight since I only get heat with temp at max and the buzzing noise stopped, lol. I have no heat in the rear at all.
