I went to the dealer to get an oil change. At the same time, they did a tire rotation and I watched the guy walk around the vehicle touching each tire with some device which I assume he was resetting each monitor. I drive off and all is good. The next day, I have a Tire Pressure Monitor display...
Looking at the right rear spring, I am not sure how to remove one of these. Or, maybe this is best done by a professional? It looks like there is some piece of hardware on the top and a different piece of hardware on the bottom of the spring. I assume the spring itself is fine, but maybe the top...
I think it's going to be hard to diagnose. It's a little difficult to be under the car while it's rolling over a speed bump. :party36:
Based on it happening over bumps (speedbump, backing out of drieway), I highly suspect something with the springs. It's annoying.
I have to change the sound it is making. It's less of a clunk and more of a rubber chicken **whine** sound. I believe it's coming more from the shock/strut location. I tried jumping up and down on the back bumper, but it wouldn't do it.
Here are a few underside pics...
I have only been putting 89 octane in. If the owner's manual called for a higher octane, I would put it in, but since it doesn't, just going to save the money.
I am wanting to replace my painted black plastic peeling outside door handles on my 2008 Yukon. Looking on ebay, I see you can purchase chrome door handle covers. For $20 something dollars, I assume these just stick over the existing handles.
I see you can also get a set of chrome door...
I know this sounds extremely odd, but I have noticed this sometimes but certainly not always. Sometimes....when I am coming to a quick slowdown in my 08 Yukon, I can hear the A/C blower motor get softer or blow at a lower speed briefly and then go back to blowing as it was.
Those look great. I need to have that done on my Yukon twenties.
From a distance they look shiny and nice...
But closeup, they have this pitting and spider web like corrosion all over...
Just need to find someone around here to do it.
When I go over a speed bump, I hear something like a clunk noise when coming off the speed bump. There's not a lot of suspension parts in the rear, but I can't quite put my finger on what is making the clunk noise. Anything I can look at in the rear that would confirm?
I picked up both the serpentine and A/C belt from the dealer yesterday. And I have to say, that was the quickest I have ever changed belts. It's nice having plenty of room in the engine compartment for a change.
While I was cleaning my MAF and TB yesterday, I noticed the AC and Serpentine belts look a little cracked. When selecting new belts, I assume it's best to go with AC Delco? Or, is there a better brand available?
