Thank you Mark. it's been a pretty tough couple of months. Down to one. Our Molly is 14 years old but still acts like a little puppy. My wife is so concerned we will lose her in the near future. Trying to convince her to live each day blessed that she is still with us and to cherish the time.
Crazy and very sad year for us. Today we said goodbye to my daughter's 22 year old cat (yes I typed that right - 22 years). She became "our" cat almost 10 years ago when our daughter got married. Her husband was allergic to cats. She lived a very happy and comfortable life. She has been on...
@Stonefort That's good to know about the operation similar to the 2004 OEM setup. And thank you for the comment associated with my daughter's car. We just had dinner with her and her fiancé on Saturday. I got another extra hug when we got to the door. Received the touchup paint last weekend so...
Completed my final tweaking on this controller utilizing both my scan tool and my laser temp gun. It has operated flawlessly for the last week. I was able to drop my fans speed to 50% when the A/C is on. With the windows closed you can't even hear the fans.
A couple of things I really like about this controller is you can easily adjust the speed of the fans when you use the Air Conditioning and when the water temps start getting hot the fans slowly ramp up to speed. I was out driving after I posted this thread and I never heard the fans. Then I...
The install directions gave a few steps to verify you connected things properly prior to start, testing and adjustments. Basically you test a few connections with a voltmeter. Once you do that you start the vehicle and ensure the system is working. First I check the Fail Safe. When turning on...
The controller was a bit more time consuming. But I did lay out, determine routing and cut wires to rough lengths last night. The directions provided were easy to follow. On one end of the controller you have a Ground and Two Fan Wires. On the other side a Battery, Ignition, Ground, 2 Sensors...
Finished both the Oil Change and the upgraded fan controller install. Started early in the morning, because I knew it was going to get hot. Even with AC in the garage, by late afternoon to early evening the AC struggles to keep up.

@OR VietVet is correct. I looked add this when I needed to replace my driver side heated, dimming and adjustable mirrors on my 2002 Tahoe years ago. From my research the addition of turn signals requires routing additional wires to add that feature to the mirrors. It is doable, but a good amount...
When I decided to build this engine, I also decided I wanted better control of my upgraded electric fans. As I was purchasing and collecting the rest of the parts (minus the costly heads) I needed for my engine build the past several months I also procured an updated solid state fan controller...
New tires for my wife's car ordered from Tire Rack.
I was hoping to have my new engine built before my next oil change. That won't happen. This being summer and all the work I have been doing on the house, helping/supporting my family and camping - I've put another 5K miles on my baby. Ordered...
So, another cost set back on my build. After 60K miles it is time to put new tires on my wife's 2020 Subaru Crosstrek. Wow, the cost of tires has gone up. Looking at three tires: Continental Crosscontact LX25, Firestone Destination LE3 and Michelin Defender 2. All three receive great ratings...
