You next DIY should work fine as long as you have solid grounds located in the same places. You could use a knife blade battery connection when you want to jump it off.
My dual system is set up for camping. The primary battery is for normal automotive operations.
The secondary battery for...
I am not sure on either question. On a 2011 I would guess it would take a lot of cutting... I run 35's on mine but I have a 4 inch lift with long travel.
I checked the trans oil and it looked pretty clean no metal or water.
The Trans shop will be looking it over on Monday and we will figure out what to do with it then. I was thinking about having them do a rear main seal while they have it out too.
Well I think my trans finally went. .
Was highway driving 65 mph trans started jerking and went into 4 gear. Drove for another 4 miles to exit. Eng temp went to 250 trans temp also 250 coolant temp was 210 after I stopped it didnt want to take off again. Waited a few minutes and it started...
Sorry I guess I missed this post... My rig has a 4 inch Rancho lift running 35's on 17 x 8 rims with 5.5 inches of wheel backspacing. Total backspacing is 6.5 inches. I had very minimal rubbing and it took maybe 5 minutes of trimming to correct it.
I live in Arizona and double sided tape would most likely stop sticking in a week or two... I was tempted to drill out the fake Bushwacker bolts and install real ones through the fender wells.
The flares do not fit very tight and they start flopping around and the door flares are not very secure. One of them fell off when I was off road I was lucky it was on a trail I had to come back on so I found it on the way out. I also had to cut them to fit the bumpers...
It is deceiving but, there is almost 3 feet from the bumper to the ground here.
Here we have a Tahoe above Lake Tahoe..
Having fun in the high country in Nevada.
Easily. I did over 2800 miles off road last year. It pulls just fine in high range and if anything is that bad I just drop it in to low range.
This shot was taken running up hill in 4H.
I pulled out a stuck Jeep with ease.
I run 4:11's on mine with the 6 speed and they work pretty good. I have a 4 inch lift with 35's I started out going way to far with 4:88 (Pay the shipping I ll send them to you) and that was a terrible idea. Trans was shifting way to early, I was running around in town in 6th gear doing 35...
My flares are made by Bushwacker the fit and finish is very sub par and they had to be trimed to fit the bumpers. I would not recommend them.
The 9500 is rated a lot heavier than my rig. Plus I actually have never used to to get unstuck it has only been used to aid other people...
What should oil pressure be at idle and driving say at 3000 rpm?
I have been running 5-20 and thinking about switching to 5-30
What do some of you guys run?
I have 217,000 on mine and it runs fine.
That is most likely why it is running hotter. With the air having to pass through three layers it is reducing the air flow. I would either move the oil cooler to a new lower location or try to move it so there is a few inches between them allowing a little more air to move around them.
