If you live in a cold area it is. Or have a lot of accessories. It’s a deep cycle battery. I run it on my Jeep for winching etc. There is no comparison to a standard AGM.
It was your battery. That’s how they go. 12.0 is dead, dead and dead. Cold like you had will kill a battery that was even just a little suspect. The chances of all those things going bad, are much less than just a battery.
No, I purchased it on eBay. It’s a factory AC Delco pan that uses a factory crimp. Works fantastic. I used my factory magnet that installs in the same place.

Used my new transmission pan drain plug. Drained out another 6 quarts. The fluid was still a little dirty but much better than when I did the pan and filter change. Now it’s nice and red. I may wait another 3 months and dump it one more time. So fast and easy. 6 quarts and done. Pics added...
Yeah these are the CAPA ones but I can’t tell a difference. Not sure one is any better than the others. Mine were much worse in person than on a picture. The LED lights were the highlight of the upgrade. So much more light.
Added a OEM transmission pan with an added drain plug. I started with drilling a hole in the original pan, to make it a lot less messy. Not sure why you would ever try to save the pan when you can buy a OEM GM pan for $15 on rock auto. Lol. I originally did that until I found a company on eBay...
