Blown 6.2 (not in good way) '21 Denali XL

Why would you expect GM to give you more than they had originally promised you? Did they fix your truck under warranty? If yes, then it’s a done deal. They kept their word. I guess I don’t understand the question. I’m no GM apologist and I don’t think you’re out of line “asking“ for a bit more...

I never said the video told me to stop. I was being overly dramatic. Get it? Like most of these videos. Sarcasm? Hmmm?

    Dead on side of road

A battery starts the engine. Not the alternator. The alternator keeps the battery charged. Without a good battery the engine and all the electronics will not work correctly. So no, the alternator does not “run” the engine, as soon as it dies or tried to restart, the alternator is useless without...

Damn Good looking burb. I would definitely stay with the OEM shocks. Expensive but worth it. I replaced mine last year.

Magnaride, Should I delete yes or no?

Not sure. I have 135k on mine. I just replaced the rear air shocks in mine. The fronts are getting weak but still work great. I think they last longer than most people think. Most people don’t post when they’re good. Think of the thousands and thousands of them out there with lots of miles...

Magnaride, Should I delete yes or no?

There isn’t an aftermarket suspension that will get anywhere near as good all around ride as the factory. You‘ll really spend a whole lot more money being cheap. You’ll do it over and over, till you do it right. Take the advice of people that have been there and done that.

    2007 Denali power steering question

Have you looked at or replaced the tensioner? Quite a bit of the time the tensioner gets weak and doesn’t tighten the belt as needed and it slips and squeaks.

For me, it’s slowing down from 80 down several twisty 7% grades. Lol. The grade braking does a great job and the shifts are quick and crisp. I don’t notice a difference from upshift and down. The 6.2 is a beast and pulls hard up hill. I don’t see any advantage to manual shifting in normal...

Whenever you just want to feel good about it. Lol It’s cheap enough so maybe annually or after towing heavy. I did 18 quarts over a couple weeks. Nice and red. I’ll probably swap another 6 in a few weeks. I’ve been running back and forth to Salt Lake lately about 460 miles each way. Ive been...

It takes me about 5 minutes to drain and put in 6 quarts. And it’s exactly 6 quarts on the dot. I don’t even check in now. I don’t even need to lift it up.

'07 Yukon XL Denali Headlamp LED Bulbs

I second this. I added LED bulbs, plus fog bulbs and they made a huge difference. Just make sure they’re clocked correctly. My iPhone flashlight is almost as bright as the stock halogens.

New battery. The 6 year old interstate was leaking and getting long in the tooth with only 12.4 volts resting and I was getting some odd little issues. Installed an Odyssey and we’re good to go. $243 for a battery this good. Can’t beat it. Also an Amsoil oil change. Getting ready for another...

    2012 linkage issue

I ordered the new GM cable from Rockauto with the intention to replace it. I said screw it and just swapped out the bushing. Expensive little bushing. Lol. Worked great.

I’m so glad I found the one station with corn! We only have 85-87-91 here in New Mexico. I’ve always ran 91 but the prior owner only ran 85. No wonder it was sluggish when I bought it. This 6.2 is quite powerful in such a large truck. Not as powerful as my Jeep but pretty close. Crazy that they...

    Continental Terrain Contact H/T?

If you’re towing I would go with the Continental only For the load rating. They are of course not going to ride as well because the sidewalls are stronger.

4th E85 fill up and all I can say is wow. I don’t think I can go back to even premium fuel again. What a huge difference. The thing even sounds better with the stock exhaust. Shifts better, and don’t even have to barely push down the peddle, even while on the highway. I had an 07 V8 grand...

Hello Yukon & Tahoe Guys and Gals.

Dump some transmission fluid yearly down the fenders, doors, quarter panels and everywhere else you can reach or get to. It will keep that rust away. I did that to my old Fairlanes and Chevelles with factory paint, ran them through the winters and they are still rust free to this day (with...
