And still prettier than the newer bodystyles... I just do not like the newest one at all.

Agreed. The NNBS and of course the NBS just look good. And plenty others in the historical timeline.

I don’t see as many NNBS as I used to and the ones I do are pretty rough in both gens.
Agree with you both but the k2 grew on me, hence the one in my garage….

The K2 looks way better after seeing the abomination the later one is. No solid axle in the rear, before you know it they will ditch the steel frame and make them into a unibody.

Without exaggeration, I can hardly tell the difference between the Ford and Chevy full size SUVs from the rear without the emblems to help me out.

When I was younger I could spot vehicles at great distance and tell you what they were. Now, everything looks the same. It is as if all the manufacturers are using the same designers and none of them are truck designers, they all look like cars anymore.

80500 miles

Oil change with Mobil 1 synthetic. Sent sample off to Blackstone for analysis.

Battery and starter checked and all good because just wanted to make sure. Rear tires need to be rotated, but my buddy said to wait another 1500-2000 miles and bring it back in to the shop.

Rear swar bar bushings have a bit of a gap and need to be replaced so ordered some new ones this weekend. Rear end has been making a bit of racket over the speed bumps. Sounds terrible. New bushings should solve that issue.

Buddy also said my rear load leveling shocks are worn. I have to dig further into this, but maybe someone here has some further info. The compressor fires up at start up, but I have to pay some more attention to the shocks themselves and get down there on start up and see if they are actuating or not. I wonder if it they are indeed not load leveling any more but offering only normal shock operations? Or if there could be an issue with the resistors up by the battery that were wired in when the drop shackles were installed to compensate for the small drop/level?

And if the shocks are the culprit and need to be replaced, what replacements would be recommended if not just go with OEM.

GM 25979393 Absorber Assembly, Rear Leveling Shock *Black $351 (1pc)

Dorman replacement is $170 (1pc)

Numerous other no-name brands and prices all over the show, but not as $$ as the GM noted above.

Replaced the rear glass lift struts with Strongarm 6157 from Liftsupportsdepot.com

Corrosion starting on the ends and now with the new ones installed, the glass goes up and stays up a bit further. Wife doesn't use it that often, but good to have new hardware installed.

Had the grandparents fly in from Australia for all of August.

Was a nice visit for everybody and they brought some goodies with them from Down Under.

Damn Good looking burb. I would definitely stay with the OEM shocks. Expensive but worth it. I replaced mine last year.

Thx man. Not too shabby a ride you are sporting there yourself. Yes OEM replacements are usually what I go for and thx for that thought on the OEM rear shocks. Not cheap but then you know what you are getting with like-for-like replacement. @Onlyone

Made this happen this morning. Had these darn stickers since 2016 and now it's done. So much better.

The recirculate button will be next, but will let it ride for now. At least the new sticker will be a p/u truck instead of a car. :rotflmao:

Foss buddy wuts up, truck looking clean like always …
Take a black sharpie to the recirc button for now until you put the sticker on. I used it for the radio dial in my work truck and it’s actually been holding up surprisingly well. Put some on, let it dry then lightly hit it again….
