    Rear seat question

Yes! All done. Like i said, we got a split bench in really good condition from the local scrap yard. Picked that up as well as all the brackets, bolts, and plastic trim pieces. It was very straight forward. There were metal covers with a caulk adhesive over them covering the bolt holes in my...

HVAC Automatic Controls - No Cooling/Warm Air [DRVR/PASS], REAR FINE

So...you're ase certified, replaced the blend door actuators, and then finally realized it was the AC system giving you trouble? [emoji23][emoji23] All good man im just giving you crap. I hear ya, being on the road without ac sucks so u gotta do what u gotta do. You did what you had to do to...

HVAC Automatic Controls - No Cooling/Warm Air [DRVR/PASS], REAR FINE

No. Dont tap on to a refrigeration system 1st thing. Rule #1 for air conditioning, Use your Hands! Feel the accumulator, inlet and outlet of the front evap, takes 30 seconds. Inlet and outlet should be within a couple degrees of eachother You did the right thing checking actuators first. Also...

Is there a rear cabin temp sensor?

I noticed there is a temp sensor in the floor outlet duct in the rear. Does that have anything to do with it? Or does anyone know where i can find this info out about how the auto mode works for the rear unit? Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

Inside/Outside air hvac door actuator not working

There's only 2 things really that can cause this. Either the actuator or the control head itself. Be careful with aftermarket actuators, they may not work right and cause more issues. Best to stick with the OE brand Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

AC goes to heat while running

That middle actuator behind the radio in the dash is a royal PITA to change out. Reason. You can barely fit your hands in there, let alone tools. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

Are there different rear diff or transmission gear ratios with different model years?

Just like the title says. Reason for asking, comparing my 00 nbs yukon to my Moms 2003 suburban LT. Both 4wd with the 5.3 and 4L60e. My moms will take OFF from a stop and throw you in the seat LOL Mine...is kinda lazy at the first punch but... mine seems to get way better gas mileage and i...

Is there a rear cabin temp sensor?

Does my 2000 nbs yukon have a rear cabin temp sensor? Asking because A, if it does i am not seeing it. And B, the front and HVAC all works correctly. Front system in auto works correctly, but if i put the rear system in auto it just turns the blower on high speed and doesnt regulate the...

    Any GM a/c techs here?

If you're system leaks youre going to be fighting it and it will be a headache. Theres no point in keeping charging a system that leaks and leaks fast at that point. Waste of 134a and bad for the atmosphere. (134a does NOT harm the ozone layer but does act as a greenhouse gas) For pressure...

    Rear seat question

Awesome!! Now, can I use any rear seat or does it have to be an 00 to 02 model? 03 and up looks the same but they are different still. So do we know which ones will work? Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

    Front windows not working

Get your hands on a wiring diagram and a good meter and know how to read and use them. Power windows are the most complicated wiring ordeal in most cars today. If changing out a switch didnt fix it, then you need a meter and diagram to troubleshoot it further. Otherwise you'll just be changing...

    Rear seat question

My 2000 NBS yukon did not come with a rear seat. If I obtain a rear seat can it be added easily? Are the mounting holes already there and I'll just have to cut the carpet area back? Thanks guys. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

    I installed E-fans on my 2001

Yeah...that write up about using AC pressure is overly complicated and in my opinion could be gone about a much simpler way. Just use a pressure Switch, not a transducer. Wire it in series with the wire feeding the relay coil that gets activated with the AC signal. Fan stays off when ac comes...

    E fan conversion question

I think I can tho. I am going to add a pressure switch to the AC system to cycle the fan on/off by pressure as well as the AC trigger. If my plan goes right, i will get a switch that at 250psi will close and bring the fan on. Fan will stay on until the pressure drops below 200psi and then will...

    Rear ac not blowing cold

1st... you need to do this. Takes 30 seconds. Feel the ac lines in the back right where they go up into the truck. Small line should be warm to hot. Big line should be cold to very cold. If not, then you likely have a bad expansion valve. If they are hot and cold and you dont have cold...

    E fan conversion question

Thanks for your input. I view this forum on tapatalk on my phone and for some reason certain things dont load up right. I saw ur comments in the e fans thread in the tech info forum but I wasn't able to see them earlier. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

    E fan conversion question

Ok. I will have to measure to see if I have the 34" radiator. So the fans. Am I wanting the 602-654 model then? I'm all for quieter/more efficient operation. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

    E fan conversion question

I am going to perform the E fan conversion on my 2000 NBS yukon. I have read, read again, and then reread LoL the thread in the tech info category and I have some questions. 1. Do I need to do anything with my current radiator? I've read that I possibly need the larger 34" one but I am not...

    AC question

If the old compressor on the truck has that and the new one does not and has NO port to.put that pressure switch in, then you could have the wrong compressor. That is a high pressure cutout and shuts off the compressor if the pressure gets too high. Newer trucks this is also a trigger for the...

    Refrigerant capacity?

Its probably still 3Lbs of 134a. Not 100% positive on these newer models tho so dont quote me there. What line blew out? Why did you have to change the compressor? If you changed the compressor because a random line blew out that was a waste of your time and money. Sent from my SM-G975U using...
