AFM has nothing to do with tranny. As for tuner, get a used diablosport off ebay. I picked up one a few years ago for $250 or so, and I have used it on my last 2 rigs. You can tune, change tire size & pedal sensitivity, and turn off AFM or speed limiter plus custom tunes. Best bang for buck...- K2 Kaiju

Welp…. Ya Fix One Thing…..Dreaded Lifter Tick
Watched a guy on you tube do this in his garage - 2 part 2 hour video - check it out as its a good video of the involved process. The main thing I took away was the lifter that failed was a non AFM lifter so a conversion guarantees nothing. That being said, if I had to pay the price to rebuild...- K2 Kaiju

BWI Magneride Struts and Shocks
Genuine GM BWI active magneride fronts do not come as a full strut with springs but Arnotts do - and they come with clips attached. So much easier to change out full struts. Unfortunately, Arnott only has 2 year warranty now while GM is lifetime. I used my old springs at 78k and they were fine...- K2 Kaiju

Got it done and used a coupon to knock it down to $800. Service guy said its a real ***** job on a 4x4 (had to remove exhaust manifold), so Im not too remorseful. I can really tell a difference now - I almost think I may have changed out my magnerides early when the motor mount was the issue...- K2 Kaiju

Just got my ride nice and buttery with the OEM magneride replacements when I started noticing a slight clunk at takeoff from a stop. Try just replacing the front corner speakers with the Kicker KSC270s first as it makes a noticeable improvement in the stock bass response. Replaced all 4 magneride shocks with genuine GM magneride shocks. Just a hair under $1700 total delivered from Rock Auto with 5% coupon they give everyone. Took it to a shop for the spring swap ($80), and the idiots didnt line them up perfectly, but a few taps with a mallet got em there. So...- K2 Kaiju
