    "Solved" Hot wire

Thank you for the all the answers and I agree. Regarding the 7 pin connector. I took all the tow wires in the back and one by one tested them to see if there is a live wire when the car is running and there is nothing. I am working on my 1999 GMC Yukon. I also have a 2003 Tahoe and this...

    "Solved" Hot wire

I need a good heavy fuse positive wire at the hitch. Going to run a relay off the reverse lights and install bright back up lights. Dont want to drag a hot wire from the front to the back to do it. Will the door lock button at the hatch do it? This is for a 1999 GMC Yukon. Thanks much for...

    What year and model?

It looks like the suburban with the 6.2 part time 4 wheel drive. Guys, thank you so much for the input!

    What year and model?

Minimum tow one way is 40 miles and often as much as 120 to 150 miles one way. Really need 4-wheel drive but not full time. Don't want the wear and tear and poor gas mileage of full time 4WD for no reason.

    What year and model?

I keep my cars for a long time. My main needs are as follows. I will not sell my 2003 for a less reliable car. Reliability is key for me. I have taken care of all the idiosyncrasies in this car myself. I know the vehicle better than I know my wife. Scary I know but i know what to expect. I...

    What year and model?

Need your opinion. I have a 2003 Tahoe z71 now. Want to upgrade to a newer vehicle. Looking for more power to tow a heavier boat along with a better ride and camera features too. Ltz I suppose. What year and model would u all suggest. I have dialed in my 2003 and have no issues with it at all...

Just did the pressure test again while cold after running it about 20 miles yesterday. Holding pressure. This is rare to have this thermostat oring leaking but here it is. If something else comes up, I will let you guys know. Here is one of the best $45 I spent... WINTOOLS 18pcs Auto Cooling...

    Weird Coolant Issue

Sorry guys. Yes I have had to add coolant intermittently. I should have noted this for sure. I bought a pressure tester for the cooling system for my e38 740I. It was a good thing I did as it came in very handy for the Tahoe. I put it up to about 15 PSI and it immediately started coming...

    Weird Coolant Issue

just did the pressure test and immediately it started dripping. I was surprised because while it ran, it leaked so slow I couldn't see the source. But at 15 PSI and cold it started dripping right away. This has been going on for about 3 months. The leak is coming from the thermostat gasket...

    Weird Coolant Issue

Thanks guys. I just bought a pressure tester as my other car is losing coolant (slowly) and I cant locate the leak either. I will put it on the tahoe and see if anything is produced on the ground. Of course the greatest fear is head gasket or worse cracked head. The car is not overheating...

    Weird Coolant Issue

I have a 2003 Tahoe LT. When vehicle is at operating temp and after some driving, the fluid level will drop to a point where my "low Coolant Level" light comes on. Then when I turn off the engine, the level comes slowly right back to the normal middle again. Do I have leak? Anyone have this...

    Reduced Engine Power

So these grounding issues completely took care of my 2003 Z71. No issues at all. My wifes 2003 LT on the other hand came back after about 4 months. it turns out the new connection that I installed has a loose connection that sets it off. This was my doing when cutting the wires and...

Reduced engine power....anyone have a stick of dynamite??

After I cleaned and regrounded the grounds behind the engine and also the grounds under the Chasis, It was good for nearly 4 months, then it came back. But this time, I only had one code, p2135. Before I had P2135, P0220, P1515, and P1516. Obviously, I had bad grounds. I know i did...

    Reduced Engine Power

Here is another video for the passenger side ground shown directly above. This one you can reach with your hand so once you loosen it with a socket wrench you can back it out with your hand and screw it back on when ready.... Once you remove it, use a brush to the engine block. You can reach...

    Reduced Engine Power

Awesome. Let us all know how it goes. How is the wire by the firewall on the passenger side. I have seen this one complete disconnected from corrosion. That one you will need to bring around to the otherside firewall connection in your picture when it starts having a problem. You must be...

Dorman M10-1.50 X 20MM hex bolt but you really only can fit a 10 mm length bolt. I had to use a bolt to occupy the space as noted in the video. If I can find a bolt that is about 10 mm, I am going to replace it.

Reduced engine power....anyone have a stick of dynamite??

This is what it looks like in the back. These are the two that are hard to reach and hence I have bypassed one and plan on bypassing the other. I think in my case the passenger side is fine for now only because when this one loses contact, you have more indications over and above just the a...

Reduced engine power....anyone have a stick of dynamite??

Other than this do one more thing... UNderneath the vehicle drivers side by the front tire, there are two bolts that are also where there are a couple ground wires connected. Take them off and brush the heck out of them and the frame where it is connected. Often the spray on rubber stuff is...
