I don’t listen to fear based cable/radio entertainment news so I’m out of touch with some of what you’re talking about above.
Whether or not republicans/Dems continue to shovel money at oil wars and a finite resource or whether scary Jr. Reps push for more rebates or want to harness the power...
The loan to Solyndra was applied for and fast tracked during the Bush administration. I’m not arguing that it was finalized after he was out of office.
$500 million in bad loans is nothing compared to trillions in bad wars that are nothing more than boondoggles to ensure we have cheap fuel for...
Right. The point is our path to “energy independence” has been happening to decades and includes 40% renewables/nuclear today. Shale oil is a big part of it too. No doubt.
Either way I’m not sure what any of this has to do with EV’s being the technology of the future.
I’m at a dealer today...
I have no belief that I will make people “see my side”.
Some will find any excuse to deny something especially when their worldview and identity is wrapped in a political ideology.

That’s too bad that the media you consume is like that.
Maybe this is a good start? Anything on TV isn’t worth getting news from IMO. I’d stick with print or online journalism.

Bush’s clean energy fund under obamas Dept of energy.
Before they duped the govt they scammed 2x as much from private industry including Walmart heirs.
Again, some loans go bad. But bushes fund, which continued under obama was profitable...
The US has been a net petroleum exporter since 2011 but that industry relies heavily on govt subsidies, tax incentives etc so we’re back to the mental gymnastics around that.
...and he may have told you he “want to bring our kids home” but he didn’t.
I won’t be able to deprogram you but it...
You can keep your old truck as long as you like. It will be decades before EV’s overtake oil burners. Not sure why that concept is so hard for people to grasp. This is a evolution.
Solyndra was part of Bush’s clean energy fund which was profitable for taxpayers despite a couple of notable...
I never said it existed today...however I did say that the full size hybrid models coming out look really interesting. Rivian looks pretty awesome too.
This is an evolution set to take decades not months. Not sure why people are so confused about the timeline and upset about the outcome...
There just isn’t one in the size I need. If GM or Ford had a full size 3 row hauler I’d gladly buy. I’m really interested in the hybrid Navigator coming out next year.
Govt spends my money on wars to protect cheap gas, billions to incentivize the OMG industry and before that it spent tax money...
You have to start somewhere and I’m not one to let perfect get in the way of better.
Don’t forget that many said CAFE standards in the 70’s wouldn’t help create cleaner air/water, wouldn’t push ICE technology forward and instead would be the death of the auto industry.
Your song has been...
I’d gladly drive an EV today. I’ve literally never driven 500 miles in one day.
But I’m really talking about the coming decades. EV’s are here to stay.
I’m not “for” anything. But your “follow the money” point is fair. The govt spends WAY more on oil wars and OMG subsidies/credits/incentives than on EV rebates so (by your logic) if you trust the govt you will be “for” a future of only ICE’s.
You’re falling for the fallacy that this is an...
Anyone who is spending money to get their car corrected and ceramic’d would be an imbecile to go to a mechanical wash. I’ll give you that.

Agreed but most here won’t do that. They just regurgitate something they’ve heard (batteries can’t be recycled! Transmission loss negates ALL benefits! CA bad! Etc) and cross their arms.
Digging into OMG industry subsidies, incentives and throwing bodies at endless wars in the name of...
For people who frequently drive 300-500 miles and then immediately turn around and drive back home another 300-500 miles having all vehicles in their homes be EV isn’t for them.
I’m not citing an opinion. I’m citing facts.
