Took the HD hood off and grille of my 03. I don't think I'll have it much longer and I'll loose money if I leave it on. Sold the hood already posting the grille on CL soon. Unless someone in Texas wants it.

Honestly how much are these worth in decent shape. I highest I saw was like 200. I don't want anywhere near that just curious.
Where are you located @Tonyrodz

I used my 05 to trailer home my new project. Today after sitting at a friends house since the purchase Tuesday. It is an 01 Yamaha R6. It's the first bike I've ridden in about 13 years. I definitely have some personal bugs to work out [emoji23]. Brought this home for $1700. It's I beater but...
Yea guys I'm lucky for sure! Like I said there was no warning with this one. I was fine and then things got a little squirrelly I almost head on with to cars and right as they passed the wheel came off.

As far as damage I got relatively lucky.
Hub assy of course
Pads and rotor
Caliper bracket
And hose.
I expected the lower ball joint to be trashed but it was almost as it it were un-touched. I think it just had so much junk caked up on it that it was protected lol.
Thanks for the well wishes...
Well it's all gonna go back in now lol. The diff wasn't my problem it was the passenger wheel bearing. I also posted about losing the driver bearing on the "what did you do to your gmt800" thread.

Just a few days late but Saturday I replaced my passenger side wheel bearing after realizing it was the front diff making all the grinding. I had posted already about doing the 4x4 delete. Well Monday on my way to work the driver side bearing completely exploded at about 75mph taking me for a 3...
Only removed the items in the pic. Transfer case is still in there for now. Only one plug that went to the front diff.

Did this yesterday. Only issues I've encountered so far are the annoying service 4x4 message and the cv axle was holding a trashed hub bearing together so I replaced that.
Any ideas on how to stop the service 4x4 message?

I did an almost complete 4x4 delete yesterday. Minus the transfer case.
Also had to replace the passenger wheel hub assembly since the cv axle hub nut wasn't holding the trashed on together anymore. Still went with a 4x4 assembly in case I decide to go back to it.

Well that's good to know mine is selectable. Most likely I'll be pulling everything but the transfer case this weekend. Also as far as the selector on the dash. Does that need to be tuned out or how does that work. The reason I ask is that I recently had it unplugged and I was receiving a...
Out of curiosity is it possible to pull the front drive shaft without any issues? I'm pretty sure my front dif is starting to make noise and I had planned to pull the cv axles for sure but if I can just pull it all out and temporarily leave the transfer case that'd be awesome.

Yea I'm planing on carrying a can from now on but I'm trying to figure out how without the entire cab smelling all the time.

And that's what makes it so weird. Most of these suggestions are great and very appreciated but also things that were on my initial list of trouble shooting ideas. I can hear the pump prime every time I turn the key even during the no start instances. Even tried priming several times before...
First thing I did. Doesn't help.
To be more clear about refueling, if I add one 2 gallon can of gas it still will not start but after adding a second 2 gallon can of gas it fires up as if nothing had ever been wrong. This never changes every time.

I'll give it a shot. But it will be kind of difficult to determine when to do this.
Also in the case of the pump losing pressure and bleeding back wouldn't turning the key and powering the pump on restart replace the lost pressure?

I considered fuel pump but i assumed that it would happen more often. Keep in mind this is a very occasional and has been happening for over a year.
