Yes I had the one that went to the side. There will be the smaller hole to the side still visible but because the monitor is so big it will cover the other hole entirely. The only way I know to cover the hole is to redo the headliner and not cut it out. I did take some pics for reference...
Not to mention I control all the dvd functions from the front with the DVD player now and that’s much easier than reaching behind me trying to find buttons lol
I replaced the factory DVD player with a 15” monitor by Tview. It’s pretty decent quality and a pretty big upgrade. For the DVD part I put in a Power Acoustik DVD player model PADVD390 and ran a set of rca splitters with one set going to the monitor and the other to the indash. I can play the...
I fabed up a camera in my window release button and ran my video cable through the hatch with the other wiring harness. I ran my cable from there through the body channel behind the headliner on the passenger side all the way down to the pillar into the dash.
Nice! I didn’t know about this when I ordered mine, it may have not even been available. I had the OS2CBOSE and had to get the PAC-SWI RC interface for the steering wheel controls (which I could never get to work). I just ordered the PAC RP5-GM11 to replace it. Seems like it will be much easier...
Wow really sorry I’m just seeing this, I never got the notifications. I do have a couple of these ready to go if you are interested. I will be making more when the weather warms up but I believe I have one with guide lines and one without.
Sounds like maybe your stepper motors are going bad on your gauges. They are a pretty common problem on 00-06 GMs. Pretty simple and cheap to replace though.
It’s not too bad to remove, and once you take it apart it’s not too bad to put back together either as long as you pay attention to how it came apart. The easiest way to get it out of the lift gate that I have found is to remove the 3 bolts that hold the entire assembly to the lift gate, I think...
Sorry, I’ve been pretty busy and haven’t been on in a while. I appreciate the insight! Sounds like maybe just the lowering kit might be the way to go then. Probably easier to change if I decided it wasn’t quite what I wanted lol.
I ended up going that route too. I went to Lowe’s and tried to find an 1 1/8 hole plug to see if that would fit any better but they didn’t cary anything over 1”. That 1 1/2 plug with the lock part trimmed off held better than I thought it would so I think it’s going to work out lol. Thanks!
Has anyone on here done the full air ride on their yukon/tahoe? Next year I plan to do something with my suspension and I am trying to decide if I should go full air ride with the switches or just do the 2/4 lowering kit and keep the factory air ride. My problem is I don’t know much about making...
I like my esky a lot and have no complaints. It doesn't have any leds for night time or anything like that but I'm running the Jdm Astar reverse lights and they're like putting a flood light behind you so I've never had a problem with seeing at night with it.
Thanks! Yea that wouldn't be bad to have the the key slot to fall back on in emergencies. Mine never had one so I never had to worry about it, I just use the key fob or crawl through if I have to lol
Sweet, glad it worked for you too! Yea I just have mine as temporary. I went back to the junk yard and pulled another box to rebuild and put in when I get the time.
