    Changed rear diff fluid

Would also like part number. Looks like a nice rubber/metal combo.

Fuel filter change 5.3 2004 Flex fuel.

If its not leaking I guess I'd roll with it, but the end of the metal line is supposed to have an o-ring on it, it has a small "nipple" on the end of the line that an o-ring sits on and assists with sealing, in addition to it being a flared fitting. As for your flexible line side, that looks...

    Rear oem shocks

Well those nivomats are really handy if you do tow, they ride nice. If you don't then you could put whatever you wanted on there. The oem kind are pretty steep to replace, that's why most people change springs and switch to a standard shock and are still money ahead.

    Rear oem shocks

Ahhhh "premium smooth ride" like on my 04. Stick with oem "nivomat" type shocks or you will have to also replace the springs. Monroe I know makes a version a little cheaper than acdelco. Do you tow any?

    A/C Always On?

Not to seem rude but your video doesnt have sound and doesnt show the ac compressor or clutch at all.

Fuel filter change 5.3 2004 Flex fuel.

On mine, same year, I've always just changed the o-ring on the inlet side of the filter (metal line) and never had anything fall out of the rubber quick connect side. Strange.

    Rear oem shocks

Its drivable, the cover is just there to kind of "protect" it from debris and crud. Dirt on that shaft will eventually damage the shaft seal and warrant replacement. If they are original then I'd say its due to be replaced unless its super low on miles. Don't know on the recommendation, stock...

    A/C Always On?

Yeah I've never seen that before. This is on an 00-06 model? A video may help just so I make sure I know what you mean by "starting up" :)

Some people should not work on trucks

Oh man! lol "just yank her out it'll come" was apparently said at some point.

    A/C Always On?

Help me fill in some blanks. Truck is not running, key off, and compressor clutch is energized while not spinning? As in it has 12 volts at the clutch connector? Start the truck and the compressor is always engaged no matter what you do with the controls inside and the clutch only disengages...

    A/C Always On?

Am i missing something? The compressor wont turn unless the engine is running. And the clutch wont get power to engage the compressor unless a whole bunch of parameters in the ac system have been met (low pressure switch, high pressure switch, etc). I'd have to look at a wiring diagram but if I...

Truck keeps going into 4wd Low

Sounds like a dealer or someone with a tech2 needs to scan for codes.

    Heater being weird - thoughts?

I sometimes find that when you set it to say 70 and auto, it will only blow out kind of warm air. Like its trying to put out 70 degree air from the vents using blend doors and air vent temp sensors. I sometimes put mine on 80 or high and switch to manual mode so that it blows hot air, and then...

Tring to fix my rear HVAC. Hot/Cold change over not happening

Did you pull the actuator for the rear temp out or just watch it spin? On mine, the actuator was fine and the control unit was fine but the blend door itself had broken. Had to replace the whole housing.

    Transmission Fluid Flush??

I've found on those hard rubber tranny pan gaskets that a little past tight, just enough so it starts to squish it, is needed. I use a 1/4" ratchet so I can keep myself from going crazy tight, you don't want to cut it. I always just go by feel though so I don't know what torque it equates to...

    Heater connectors

Honestly, I very carefully used a hacksaw to cut off my originals, being careful not to get into the metal pipe and just cut the plastic. It wouldnt have been my first choice but it happened when I was nowhere near my tools. The correct tool, I believe, is the kind that slides in like you are...

    Oil pressure gauge install

So I was a little off on my first response, I didn't realize you had a 91-99 year truck (350). Your stock sensor uses 1/4 npt threads. You could use any tee or combination of nipples and adapters you need to get clearance. Depending on what your aftermarket temp and pressure sensor uses for...

    Oil pressure gauge install

You can get a tee and use the factory location, or get one of those oil filter sandwich adapter deals. It's a tight fit to get to the factory location with a tee and two sending units sticking out of it. I don't know if it is possible with all the stuff in the way. It's also tight to get a plate...

    Heater connectors

When I did mine, i got 1 dorman 800-413, 1 dorman 800-414, new gates heater hoses, quick connect fittings that would go into each heater hose and connect to the tee's, and 2 hose clamps. I can't seem to find the fitting part numbers that went into the heater hoses and clamped on at the moment. I...

Do you fully fill your tank or partial fill?

Fill it up when it hits 1/4. A wise man once said: "It costs the same to run on the top half as the bottom. You'll always be prepared." Plus its better for the pump keeping it cool. Over 215k on our old 2001 1500HD before we had to change original pump.

    HVAC issues

Have you done a re-calibration? With that many different issues it sounds like the main unit. Most of those issues are controlled by different blend doors.

    Rear tire wear.

Lack of good shocks on the rear will cause this. Same thing can happen on vehicles with struts on the rear when they go bad.

    Fog light replacement?

I'm sure we are having the same issue, but on mine the plastic mounting bracket holding the light housing to the mounting point is weaker/not as stiff, so when you mount it with the two bolts, the bracket still flexes/bounces going down the road. I even tried using the old spring because it was...
