The retainers are the bottoms, your not cutting those just the top cups. The bottom retainers hold the bottom bushing inplace. And yeah the top cups should go back just be a little shorter

Where I got new bolts

I had gone to a junkyard when I was first looking into this and had pulled 2 sets from a few blazers. Sandblasted and painted them up.
Hope this helps
Would be nice to have a water jet. All done by hand. .080-.100 carbon fiber flat stock. Takes a minute but turns out decent.

I Dont think VTEC was my buddies and he said guy before him put the 1600 Japanese motor in it. Quick little thing. My first stick so its been a learning experience
Nice truck, awesome console. I like the way it looks with the black. May just have to look into a future upgrade to mine. Also want to add USB and inverter. Thanks for sharing!
Plugs are shown fwd to aft as removed. Reading you mean in ohms? I did a couple and got 6.4 on 2 and 6.1 on another. Tomorrow when I get home I can read the rest if that is what you meant.
So changed out plugs for some new delcos. Checked my grounds, cleaned up nice. Started it up and ran fine for a minute. Then shut down and a little smoke coming out from the air filter. Not sure what that is but I'm going to start reading.
So took it around the block today before work. Drove nice, no stalling out or dying. Saturday I will go for a more extensive drive but seems OK. But it also seemed OK before.
Dude, I have not had time with this mandatory OT and I meant to hit you up this weekend about that console. Was going to test today but the boy was puking so try for tomorrow. Working swing shift doesn't help. Maybe I'll roll it around when I get home tonigt
