Alright...I do the same! And I try to jack it (or have it drain de-jacked) so the drain hole is angled so it's at the lowest point of pan. I always drain the oil hot so it's thinner and drains quicker. Also mixes up and re-suspends into the oil any sediment that might otherwise settle and sit on the bottom of the oil pan. Gotta get that crappy oil outta there!

Yep I did the same thing. I drove it first after letting it idle for 5 mins came back and pulled the plug and went inside. I also jacked it up under the right side frame and more oil started to come out so i went back in and waited.

I don't know how people can go to those speedy oil change places. They probably have a couple shot glasses full of nasty oil left in the engine. That may not sound bad to most people but to me being meticulous that won't fly.:grd:

Recently replaced leaky water pump, and heater control valve, all by myself! Some of my first DIY automotive work. Proud of myself.

Then today did it in the back seat. Does that count? Gotta love the roomy backseat of a 2door :party36:

I call lies. Surely God would be able to do it in better places then the back seat of an OBS.

Picked up a green Z71 bumper, a set of new fog lights and the factory Z71 aluminum brush guard. In process of redoing the bumper pewter.

Mine is all chipped, blistered badly and rusted very badly.

Installed new pads. Painted the new calipers I just put on 2 months ago that already started rusting. I finally changed out the alternator for a NBS model that's been in the back of my truck for about 4 months.

I attempted to change the starter solenoid until I realized the solenoid has round head bolts on it, so I scrapped that idea. Might as well get a new starter. It's getting drenched from a pan gasket leak on the passenger side.
