Thanks man. I think it was repainted sometime ago. It's not showroom perfect but it's a 4X4 so it's allowed to be a lil rough around the edges. I'm planning to have linex cover the bumpers, flares, and rocker panels with Bedliner. It's a bit pricey but worth it.

No CV on the rear. As for the shim, it changes from tear end to rear end. I didn't install the gears so I don't know the size exactly. The driveshaft had to be extended by a little more than an inch though.

95-99 GM truck Double Din install (TheDetaillSS)

Great write-up on this. I am close to doing the same myself this summer. The Metra kit is more like 2 hundred not 13.00. It includes an entirely new bezel, which will have to be dyed to match your interior color. Both ways work out just fine, but if your lazy like me, the metro kit will save...

Forgot to mention, I am planning to have Line X Spray the bumpers, rocker panels, and fender flares soon, but it's so expensive that I may just consider an entirely new paint job. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you for any feedback you can provide. Rob

Thank you very much. I hope to learn a bit more from the forum as the next step will be either a new engine, transfer case, and transmission. The truck has 130k original miles and as of now, everything is running strong. However, I intend to replace every component to bring the truck to 100%...

    1999 4x4 2 Door Tahoe

Love these 2 doors. I went through a similar conversion myself recently. Chose the 6" RCX suspension lift and 3" PA body lift. Went with 20" rims and 37" tires. The new suspension mad it ride better than stock.

I became a Tahoe owner when my grandfather passed and left me his black 99 2 Door (4x4) Tahoe. I needed a second car like a hole in the head but I couldn't get rid of it due to the circumstances. s such, I decided to go all out and overhaul it. Since September of last year, I have installed...

I am new to this forum so I apologize if I am posting this incorrectly. However, I could really use your help. I am close to purchasing new wheels and tires for my 99 2Door Tahoe. I am installing a 6"RCX suspension lift and a 3" Performance Accessories body lift. It will be a daily driver...
