10 speed is setup like a ford trans. Not shocked since they worked with ford on it. You over fill slightly and remove the hose and thread the plug back in. The threaded nipple fitting should be easily found if its the same as on any other ford trans.
The 15 was likely the condenser. They dryer is attached to the side of them with a few dinky welds and they would crack and leak. The extra "bracket" was literally better welding, more welds, and a couple spacers welded between to make it rigid. The 18 should have the new design. You can...
I have a 2016 had since new. I am at 116k miles. I drive pretty hard and it is not stock. I change oil as indicated on the DIC and I have 0 consumption issues. My Tahoe is as quiet as can be other than a little trans noise but it does have a built trans and converter. You are being lied to...
If they do quality work they will check for play in the pinion bearings and that there are no other factors that could cause premature wear. If all looks good install a new seal and fill with fresh fluid. If they just try to quick flip it back out they will swap seals and send it.
Looks like a bad pinion seal. Likely got installed poorly when built or it was damaged before install.
Also the paint thing sucks. I cant stand people who do not secure their junk they are hauling. It infuriates me to no end.
This exactly. Also the pressure regulator and boost valve in the pump love to wear the bore and require machining. A good builder will rework the bore and put in a oversized kit that provides more progressive pressures and improve the life of the valve. Lots of other little upgrades to be...
Its the same way when people have someone pull codes and do not understanding just replacing a part may very well not fix the issue that the codes are just a reference to the system in trouble. And ive found the reason why most end up having to replace all or most of it is they overfill at some...
He was giving you recommended advice. Not liking the answer is not a reason to be rude.
So before this started happening did you use a fuel pump that did not shut off and it spit fuel back out the filler neck? Did you try to fill up or top off and let the pump kick off more than 3 times...
This. I keep mine on when its wet out but thats about it. Otherwise I prefer to make the vehicle do what I want it to do and it not hesitate or cut me back. I would really like to easily disable stabilitrak at all timed rather than just under a certain speed. Having it come one when trying...
Hope all works out for you.
I loved mine. All black and looked new when traded. Got 49k for it after a year and 36k miles when I paid 55k for it. The cummins pulled my camper beautifully and I had free oil changes for life. On top of that the 2 complaints I had were quickly addressed...
I didnt know about the new wagoneer. Just looked them up and boy do they look nice. I have avoided 2021 GM full size because I like seeing the kinks worked out on a new setup but the way they are handling things is near the same as how they handled the brake issues on the past body style and...
I think he means for them to be so close to the outer lip where they are visible. Ive never had a shop place stick on weights that close to the spokes where they are visible, I have always seen them closer to the center of the wheel out of sight.
call up PATC https://transmissioncenter.net/ and talk to them about converters. Explain what you plan to do with the vehicle and what power you plan to make etc. They can help work out a good stall and depending on the converter they offer a free restall if need be. They are knowledgeable...
B pillar trim can seem like its well on there but still make noise. Mine drove me nuts as I thought it was on solid until it got worse and I saw it vibrating. I 2nd the above use painters tape and tape off the gaps on the trim to see if it goes away. Once my trim was fixed im back to 0 wind...
I give a HEAVY 2nd to TK performance. My transmission in my 2016 was built by Tim and his guys. Their HP estimates are for sure based on a car not a heavy truck or SUV but they can give a rough estimate of how much in can hold in a heavy vehicle. Their price is very fair and they are easy to...
Not that much to remove. Plastic covers, coils, breather lines to start. Probably have to move push the harness out the way a bit but no biggie. If its pass side the 2 heater lines run over it and may give enough for removal but could also need removed at the heater core connections. Valve...
2016 2wd failed at 94k miles. No shutter just nothing past 2nd. Converter had sent trash through the trans. Had it rebuild by TK performance and run a PATC billet converter and have 0 issues at this point. Im only at 111k now but its holding up well.
I hit 2 within a month of each other in my 1st year of ownership of my 2016. It was brand new. I think first hit was 6k 2nd was 8k. Hit each doing about 60. It sucks. I am in AL so they are everywhere.
just to try to help out I would check the flapper valve. When in V4 it helps with drone from the exhaust and sits in a more closed position. I would wire or bolt it wide open and see if the rattle continues. It would not be the first case of one going bad.
I had my converter fail and had my entire trans rebuild as it put trash through everything. I currently run a 2k RPM stall converter from PATC. Its a 10 inch billet converter they hand build to order with 4 carbon fiber clutches. Its a beast as far as holding power goes and with the lower...
