You can do that but either way you will need to bleed the lines again after driving. Maybe 2 or 3 times. The automated bleed just lets you do it in the shop so you're not having to drive then bleed repeatedly.
Check the fuel pressure like Will suggested in the first reply. That's a pretty good starting point assuming all the basics are good. Any check engine light? If it's been reset you will want to take the truck for a spin on the highway and some stop and go traffic to see if it comes back. Up to...
Ok. Good info. Not that big of a deal as far as modding goes. Just staying close to stock with no need for anything else like Holley has to offer. I wish I could mess around with aftermarket stuff like that. Lol. Thinking about getting HP tuners software is about as extreme as I can get atm.
I...
The fuel tank and lines are similar for both. Common misconception. Already looked into that. If they weren't you wouldn't be able to use E10 or E15 either. Which many do. But yeah the only difference is the PCM programming, injectors and added fuel type sensor and harness. Hence my question. I...
Binding, chattering or resistance when pressing the brake pedal would either be the linkage from the pedal to the MC or the MC itself. The vacuum booster is easy to rule out. Just disconnect and block off the hose at the booster and see if pedal travel feels any better, worse or same when taken...
Ok. So let's say I want to use E85. I would obviously need higher pound injectors like you have. Can you change fuel tables on the fly with HP tuners since my vehicle has no fuel type sensor in it? Or I could just grab a junkyard PCM which had E85 and reprogram the VIN to my vehicle?
My driver's side rear window won't roll down anymore. I can hear the relay activate back at the door but no roll down. Either motor or sticking window because power is getting back there. Just wondering if anyone has any experience and can provide a quick solution? I would rather not have to...
I did the library route as well but the information is lacking and not even equivalent to Alldatadiy information. Looking for full diagrams with part numbers for wiring, connectors, pins, harness clamps and such. I don't want to pay big $$ since the new Alldatadiy pricing went into effect. I'm...
I found some pins in the harness connector going to my automatic leveling suspension pump was corroded. Had to replace the pins in there. One is always hot and will drain your battery if corroded or allowed to come into contact with water from going through puddles or car washes. Just something...
If I ever have any rear end issues I'll be sure to try and reference this. I just don't have the wear with all to casually read this. I'm sure it's great.
From experience a spongy brake pedal is with out a doubt air in the system. Either in master cylinder, ABS module or lines/calipers. Air in ABS module accumulator section would require bleeding at the module itself (somewhat challenging) or using a scan tool to activate the automatic bleed...
Going forward you might want to put a bottle of UV dye in the recovery tank so as to keep an eye on any small leaks that may develop. Not absolutely necessary but it wouldn't hurt for added piece of mind.
I bought a new housing from the dealer years ago. It included the thermostat. I remember having to make sure it was correct for my application because there are some part number differences. Guess that's why I had the dealer look it up for me.
Rough start or extended crank start? I guess they could be related. I had to replace my EVAP canister, purge and vent valve years ago to fix my extended crank issue. But that was when I had the tank out to clean it, inspect the EVAP lines and replace the fuel pump. I think it was flooding the...
I'm in the process of replacing my cam. I also taking this opportunity to ultrasonic clean the right side bank of stock injectors on my LM7 engine. I got the cam stuff down pretty well (it's an Elgin step up mild cam). I didn't want a funny idle or a higher rpm torque band that requires a new...
Thanks for all the info. I ordered 7 terminals, 7 plugs and the connector housing from Mouser.com. Normally I wouldn't get a new housing for the terminals but mine was melted from the arcing/heat.
Got a few extra terminals as well just in case. I also bought a crimp die set for my Ideal...
Found nothing on rock auto. I found the connector on the Aptiv/Delphi website. I searched under pin count (7) to get the picture of the plastic half that the pins go into. The connector webpage said that part 12110846 are the female terminals.
GM Multi-Purpose Connector 12110751...
I was using my scan tool the other day and noticed some codes for the air suspension pump relief valve. So I checked the air pump and disconnected the air pump electrical harness. Upon inspection I noticed the power red wire completely rusted away. I've been looking all over online for either...
I double checked the pin on the relay for a PCM ground signal. The PCM won't ground out the relay so that's why the relay isn't working. So looks like I need to check both high and low a/c pressure switches next. Going to take a reading of the static pressure on the low side. I got gauge with me.
I noticed my A/C wasn't working today. The interior fan works. I checked the underhood fuse and relay. They are working. I also jumped the always hot pin of the relay socket to the pin for the compressor clutch and the clutch engaged. Also the PCM side pin to operate the AC relay works as...
I'm good. It seems I have a 22840117. I called around to different dealers and that was the one that consistently popped up on their screens. I still don't know for the life of me why the RPO codes and my sticker don't correlate. Anyway it is on order and should be available for pickup tomorrow...
Checked the ACDelco catalog @ https://parts-catalog.acdelco.com
It shows the following 2 radiators for my VIN. 22840117 and 19256745. Both are listed on my dealers website, so that jives. On the surface it appears I may have the first one listed because the RPO codes shown for 22840117 are not...
Looks like part # on that listing is 19256746. That part # isn't listed for my vehicle. My Tahoe came with a heavy duty cooling (increased capacity/wider radiator), hydroboost brake, 3/4 ton hitch, etc. Obviously a package option for towing in 2005. I'm sure the previous owner got the option...
Ok. I checked their website. I got 4 different part numbers for the radiator. The most expensive one is GM # 20935856 @ $465. The others are around $260 each. I'm guessing the most expensive one has both transmission and oil side tanks. I'll give the parts dept a call tomorrow and see if that is...
