Thanks fiatdale. I'll be checking it out. Is it necessary to get behind the cluster and remove it? Those wires should extend some where down and under the dash. Also, do you know where I can get a wiring diagram for this area? -

I have a 2007 Chevy Tahoe. Sometimes during the day it is hard to see the speedometer and the other gauges on the instrument panel. My 2008 Avalanche has backlights but my 2007 Tahoe does not. The dealership says that this is a design change between 2007 and 2008. That is hard to believe...
