Bunch of .pdf's. Check the 2007 folder for most of the stuff and 2008-2009 folders for M.Y. focused items.
I bought this to upgrade a GMT900 pickup I no longer own. It is not leather but is in excellent condition. Includes the radio switches and switch harness. To add the switch it’ll need to be modified; there is a thread here on TYF that shows you how to do it. All sold together; I will not...
Wow this thread makes me cringe. The shop quotes should show you how interested they are in doing the job.
Avionics dealers quote the same way. I had a new Garmin GTN and some other crap installed in my bird and I had quotes from $25k to $35k for the exact same work. That is ridiculous. It is...
Beware of counterfeit parts being sold on amazon and especially eBay. They arrive in near-perfect OEM packaging and are difficult to tell apart from the legit items. This has been an issue plaguing the parts industry for decades. The Chinese are getting better at coping even the most...
Isn’t normal operating temperature 180F? If the aftermarket cooler and thermal valve are installed correctly, fluid will always flow into the radiator and will only flow into the new cooler when the temperature reaches the threshold. The point of the valve is to keep the fluid warmer when...
For those of you in the northern climates consider the trans cooler kits with the thermal bypass valve so at least your trans can try to come up to operating temperature. Doing 70mph at 10F has an effective -20F windchill.
I believe the entire GMT900 series you need to buy the entire assembly. I had to do this on my ‘08 2500HD. IIRC it was about $75 for the bottom spring one. They all go bad on these GMT900’s unless you’re aggressive with the lube.
It’s not rare for this to come down in price. I paid $108 from the same seller for the 40,000 version. Note that this has the cold weather thermal valve.

Here is the thread with photos of the install:

I’ve been running them on the wife’s truck and they’re amazing in the winter. They compare to a low-end snow tire but these are on all year. I like these better than their WR-G3 line. Definitely won’t get 50k miles out of them but at these prices and my long drives in blizzards i wouldn’t mind...
Put new shoes on today. Nokian Rotiiva AT 265/70R17 from Walmart for $111/ea plus $100 to mount balance and road hazard. Quite cheap from the evil Waltons considering that my local dealers wanted about $60 more per tire.
I replaced some Load Range E BFG’s.
WOW what a difference in ride quality...
Did front struts (Monroe QuickStruts) and a trans fluid exchange. I did not drop the pan; I sucked it out of the pan and hoses. Refilled six quarts via the dipstick tube. Ran the engine until it filled up about two 1-gallon jugs while pouring fresh fluid in. It’s refreshing to watch the color...
We run Finnish or Russian made Nokians up where I work. WR-G3’s or WR-G4’s “All Weather” tires. They outperform low-end snow tires in the winter and work great on dry pavement in the summer heat.
I thought legit Sachs Nivomat’s were only on the GMT800’s. I’m surprised they didn’t keep them for the GMT900’s. I have spent hours of research on this and gave up just buying fresh blue OEM shocks (after dumping $100+ on Monroe air shocks that leak). I’d do the air shocks if and only if you...
I’m not trying to cause a ruckus by necroposting but for reference purposes the U Haul dolly will fit tires that are no more than 70” wide. 71” would work but that would be at the outer edges. The tire carrying plates are like pans.
I’m not sure what the legal capacity of the dollys either...
The joke there is that it never goes above 50C (122F) as that is when the slave labourers must cease working outdoors. These guys are wiping down road guardrails by HAND during the day. The Police make a crap-ton of money too. Couple hundred grand a year with no income tax. Only actual UAE...
Only in the late spring, all summer, and fall. The winter is quite comfortable in the mid 70’s mostly low humidity with a few wicked wicked foggy days.
That’s hilarious. I bet they only get about 1000 miles a year. I used to live nearby in Abu Dhabi and the Police were only heard of and never seen. I would laugh hysterically when I would see the tire marks all over the motorways from the weekend drifting fun. Lots of the kids like to have fun...
I did the big brake job today. Rebuilt all the calipers, installed new hoses, new rear rotors, machined front rotors, and all new pads. Wow this was one HELL of a job. I will never rebuild a Caliper again. It’s just not worth my time. The labor to clean and paint them wasn’t calculated into my...
