    Yeah, replaced both sensors and harnesses. And yes, i did the work and did the RTV dam trick. I'd be surprised if water got in there...maybe, but the original sensors took 13 years to go bad... Could there be some glitchyness in the ECU? That's where the KS's plug in...right?

    I think the reason the guy gave you crap about a heavy keychain is because the weight may cause the key to rotate in the ignition. If it's heavy enough it may bounce and rotate the key to the off position while you're driving. Not good. As an aside... our son-in-law has a Jeep Grand Cherokee...

    As you know the '07 is the new model year for the NNBS, and personally i would not buy a new model year - too many growing pains. If you want a NNBS i'd look at '09 or newer. I'm quite happy with my '06. I think you're right on track with finding a good '05 or '06.
