Shoddy body lifts can be dangerous. But of you think about it a body lift leaves the chassis closer to the ground for a lower center of gravity than a suspension lift making for a more stable vehicle, and your suspension geometry remains factory.
The unsafe body lift myth is a favorite of...
Today I bought a sheet of thin (maybe 4mm?) aluminum sheet diamond plate and built a new skidplate 16"x17". ALso installed Rancho RS500X shocks. Not really impressed with the shocks, the old one may have been better, bot they are not going back on lol.

My dad's 440ci Dodge wagon would. He had 8" wide steel wheels made for it and regularly towed the boat with it. Old glasstron with a crosslet powered bearcat outboard.
Screeching sounds like a non-issue. Clunking sounds like a bad diff. If we could get a vid of the cross pin in it's bore and the spider gears while rocking the drive shaft that would help.
If you look at the pictures c-clips you'll see that the wear is near the outer edge. This is the surface that runs against the side gear. The axle runs on the inner edge on the opposite side of the c-clip. Flip the clip and you'll have fresh thrust surfaces running on the hardened side gear and...
Mine were also made by Powerstop and sold by ebay seller Brakemotive. Not very happy with the seller and not recomending them. Go to powerstop directly if u can.
My gov-loc was working fine, the c-clips were wore from age. Every corner you take puts a load on the c-clips as they are a thrust bearing of sorts. A true track will re-use your old c-clips btw.
Probably a worn c- clip. There are three thicknesses available. You might be able to just flip it to swap the thrust surfaces between the side gear and the axleshaft.
Luckily the calipers werent powdercoated at the fitting.
Installed the brakes in the rain and didn't get any pics. I will bed them in after work, luckily its a short drive to work with few stops. Sadly After 32 Hours I got no response from Brakemotive regarding the missing front pads and bought...
$288.46 seemed like a good deal for '09 calipers, ceramic pads, and drilled/slotted rotors. After running them in my GMC Sierra and Camaro I can say they work great and brake fade is no longer an issue. And yes, Red calipers will look nice behind the black wheels.
Rear pads didn't arrive with...
Also disregard the light control connection, it was working inversly so it dimmed as the dash lights cam up. You can see how fast you're going or what channel you're on, but not both. I left it disconnected so that the stereo stays bright.
