So I mounted the thing. Drilled the cross rails. Shimmed and bolted. Ran a little over an hour and a half on varied speeds. Used it this weekend. Holding up grand.
So the speedo failed yesterday. Jerky, and 10-20 mph low. Shut her down. Restarted and no problems since. But for me one failure is a permanent future problem. My girl has 180k. I’m guessing stepper motor failure but that’s just a guess. Thoughts?
So how durable is the stock roof rack? I’m going to be cob assing a 270 awning next weekend for a test run. I’m going to U-bolt the hardware to the existing crossbars. Want to make sure that this thing isn’t going to take flight on the trip to the campsite.
Welp. Confirmed bumpy plate with journals or guides or whatever those actually are. Also paid better attention today in town and caught her going into V4 a couple of times. Hopefully there’s not a collapsed lifter in my future. lol.
2007 Yuke SLT 5.3. The thing never seems to go into v4 mode. Dash only ever reads V8. I don’t hate that but I want to make sure it’s a feature and not a bug. Is there an easy or obvious way to tell if the AFM DOD delete has been done?
To be clear, you mean the main belt only? The motor is very glossy and I’m concerned that someone got creative with wheel shine spray and may have ruined the belts but on the highway and in town she’s great. I’ll grab some audio tomorrow. Thanks very much for the input so far!
So in looking at the service history it looks like my 07 Yuke and left and right lower ball joints replaced twice in 2k miles at around 160k miles. No mention in the history before that and no weird clunks or steering issues so far for me. Are ball joints a week spot? To be clear I’ve no idea...
Just done. She’s an 07 and lived her entire life in Fl as far as I can tell. To my ear it’s a water pump, chirps for a bit and then trails off. I’ve only driven her for a total of 3 hours.
Hey again. So the new Yuke is a 4x4. I’ve never owned or driven a 4x4. Looking at the service records there was some kind of service done to the transfer case a year or two ago. What should I be doing for maintenance to the 4x4 system? I’ve driven it a bit in 4h, just around a very hilly parking...
So the new Yuke has a squeak/squeal on start up. According to the service records, I just bought this thing, both water pump and tensioner were replaced in the last 2-3 years. Belts too. Current belts look like new. Any thoughts?
Hola people.
Just yesterday adopted an 07 Yuke. Doing some digging I see that this unit is equipped with GM Autoride suspension. This thing came with a stack of service records (god bless that woman) and there’s no mention of any problems or suspension maintenance other than greasing. At 186k...
Thanks gents. In the interim I found a one owner 07 Yukon with lower miles and a complete service history. Going with that one instead. Merry Christmas and thanks again!
Morning all.
I’m looking at an 07 LT 4x4 with 250k miles. Don’t currently know what work has been done to the vehicle. How dangerous would you expect this transmission to be? I’ve read that these trans have an expected life of about 160k but have seen more than one that has had no problems at...
