Jeep Grand Wagoneer | color me impressed

I have had a few Jeep Wrangler's, still have one sitting in the driveway. It is fun to drive, but the 3.0 liter twin turbo in the Wagoneer has the same achilles heel, the oil cooler, which will start leaking around 60,000 to 100,000 miles. They are notorious for leaking, and are not cheap to...

    6.2L Engine Wait Times...

Must be a dealer issue. We have one of our few 6.2's that went in 2 weeks ago and needed an engine replacement. New engine arrived this past Tuesday, and we should get it back sometime next week, or the week after. I wonder if that's when the dealer thinks they will get to it, or if the parts...

21 Yukon Center Console Light Out

Just saw this. Look for the console charger some on here installed, they had to take the lid apart to install the charging pad, probably use it to take it apart.

    Crankshaft Position Sensor

Our shop uses some sort of cloth tape to wrap areas that are prone to chafing, usually when upfitting them. I asked and was told it's Wire Harness Automotive Cloth Tape, made by Maxwell Manufacturing. I always thought we used plastic or vinyl tape, but I was told this tape is the best you can...

21 Yukon Center Console Light Out

Not yet, I am not sure if that is a mercury operated switch, or if there is a mechanical switch that powers the light when you open the console. It could be the light, or the switch, or both. I am following to see if you get it resolved.

Where do you get your oil changed?

I just call the shop at work, they come over and get it, and return it when they are finished. Perk of owning a company with a garage for company vehicles.

    New engine 2023 Denali

Engine swaps are generally easy, most of it is plug and play, unlike the old days. What happened to the engine where it needs to be replaced?

Anyone found Velcro that works for rear cargo all weather mats?

Mine are OEM GM, the mats in the cargo area had the hook dots already on them, the hooks just hook on to carpet on the rear of the seats. So far in 7 months they are still intact and haven't fallen. I have the walnut interior, so finding matching mats isn't easy, most are black.

2022 Denali XL Ultimate - Sunroof control module failed at 1500 miles

I always find it strange that the Yukon is mentioned, yet the Tahoe and Suburban, built in the same assembly line isn;t mentioned. I also see Tahoe, but no Yukons, so I take those with a grain of salt. So far no leaks or other issues with the sunroof on the Yukon, I am sure the dear wife would...

2021 Suburban LM2 reliability sob story

Issues are tolerable, what makes it intolerable is the wait for parts. Hopefully now that folks are not buying as much, parts become readily available, or at least 1 or 2 days out. All of the manufacturers have quality and parts issues. You basically have 2 choices, wait it out, or trade it and...

2022 Yukon Denali Diesel fuel injector failure

The 6.6's were the LB7's and it was the injectors, and the 2011 to 2017's with the CP4's. The LLY, LBZ, LMM, and LML saw very few failures from injectors or pumps. My son's LBZ, I bought it new, handed it down to him, 350k and still running the original injectors and pump. LBZ's were last...

    Duramax Catalytic Converter Shield

We have had a few taken off our trucks, but oddly only the RAM's and the F150's. So far the Sierra/Silverado haven't had any taken from them. We started out using the FSPE cat guards. The issue we had with those is they don't allow much air flow around them, basically you are putting the kitty...

3.0 Duramax Camshaft Drive Sprocket Replacement

I haven't seen or heard of one failing and we have approx 9 of the 2021's, most have close to, or over 100k. I would think if it were an issue we would hear about it more often. There was a camshaft sensor replaced, but I think that was on the 2019, or 2020's. What I see repair bills for the...

    Diesel ETA?

I take any YouTube video with a grain of salt anymore, most are trying to get viewers, so they use extremes. My business we have kept trucks now longer than we normally do, we changed the criteria for replacements. We used to replace any vehicle that was 3 years, or 100k, whichever came first...

    Adding usb to sliding console

I went ahead and installed a charging pad on the top of the console. It's more convenient than the charging cubby, and allows the usage of the USB ports if you need them for anything. My passengers sometime use it as well. Boost Auto Charging Pad

    Front license plate bracket

Unfortunately the dealer installed mine, GM ships them if the state the dealer is in requires a front plate. They are drilled, then riveted to keep them in place. The plate bracket is contoured to the bumper. I look at Tesla's and very rarely see one with a front plate or bracket for one, not...

    Driver Profiles

I drive a 2023 2500HD Denali, wife has a 2023 Yukon Denali. The 2500HD allows each driver to setup their preferences in the MyGMC App, and when you login to the vehicle system, it is associated with a FOB, and mirrors what you set up in the MyGMC app. Any reason why the Yukon doesn't have this...

    '23 down; massive oil leak | suv's don't get lz0's?

Something to know about GM and diesels. We run into this with just about all of our vehicles with diesels in them. First thing they have to do is hookup the Tech Tool, screenshot all the update dates in memory. They want to make sure you have not tuned it at all, and if so, automatic denial on...

    Dead again…

I must be really behind the times. I would think a brake control module takes care of the brakes, but I guess not. I hope they find the issue, maybe a bad battery? For some reason dead batteries tend to bring out the worst in electronics these days.

How much trust do you have in the 3.0?

Wife's Yukon is a 23, 10K and no issues. We have a 2020 Silverado at work with a 3.0, 90k on it, no issues. My son has a 2022 Silverado, 25k, no issues. I would not hesitate buying one.

    Block heater

Wait until you drive a 2500HD or 3500HD. The plug for those are on the lower plastic piece under the bumper. It has does have a spring loaded door that will close automatically, but it's still low to the ground.

The glitches are in the phone app, not on the vehicle itself. Resetting your vehicle won't fix this.

    Weird onstar notification -tire pressure

I think it's a glitch in the MyGMC\MyChevy App. The 23 Yukon Denali shows it needs air in the app, but not on the dash, same for the 23 Sierra 2500HD Denali, shows low tire pressure in the app, yet the dash doesn't display any issues. I find the phone app's are buggy, I just use it to start them...
