We get roadside assistance with our insurance and it allows like 2 or 3 tows a year and all that jazz. It's good for my wife and kids if they're on a road trip without me or something, but I don't have the patience to wait 1, 2, maybe 3 hours for some backwoods shop with a tow truck available to...
I just make sure the spare is properly inflated and the hoist is lubed and operating.
Jacking up and changing a tire on the side of the highway, in the rain, at night is bad enough. Trying to find the puncture and plug it on the side of the highway would suck, and hope the flat is repairable...
On my 2001, the little spring in the glove box latch that keeps a bit of tension on it broke and caused the latch to rattle. I wasn't sure how to get the door apart to replace the spring so I just broke off a pencil eraser and used some needle nose to stick it onto the broken spring part inside...
Here's mine, but it's a 95 (I bought in Oct of 94) and it currently has 56k miles on it. It's the last year of the 5.0 302ci engine in the mustang.
It's not an LX notch though, and it's not a hatch, it's just a coupe, lol
The wheels in my sig are black replicas of a newer Sierra but with a machined face.
I didn't want chrome and I didn't want all black. These seemed to be a great compromise
So I just noticed the other day that my passenger parking light (upper yellow bulb) and "C" shaped LED bar are not working. I know there's fusee in the engine bay fuse box for parking lights left and right and I checked them and even replaced the fuse for that side but it didn't help. I'm...
Well aren't you special? lol
Actually I can view them when on my PC, but when clicking on the link on my phone it wants me to login or create an account and I can't click off of that popup window. On my PC I can close that popup window and click on the pics
I don't have a Facebook account so I can't login to see the pics.
If you are able to get the owner to send you pics of the underside, try to look at the condition of the upper and lower torque boxes (area where the upper and lower control arms bolt to the subframe and floor) and look for...
Dorman - Help Alignment Cam Bolt part# 13512
When I did mine last year and ended up breaking one of the alignment cam bolts I ran to the local Advanced Auto and bought 2 of them, which was good because the one on the other side broke also, lol.
Verts and HP don't mix well, especially with unibody platforms.
They usually came with some extra bolt on triangular braces that crossed under the front subframe and K member and some thin flimsy bolt in connectors between the front and rear subframes on later years.
Best to weld in some...
I'd suggest to also pick up a couple replacement upper mounting bolts, and possibly a couple alignment cam plates. The bolts are flat on the sides and slip through the alignment cam plates one way. They have a tendency to get rusted to the bushing on the arm (especially the front one on each...
Good info. I just looked them up on RockAuto for my 2012 and the Moog parts are about $36 each. I'm not finding a part # for the replacement bolts though.
Moog Part #'s that cross reference to the GM #'s you posted
Left RK643171
Right RK643170
The wheels in my sig are from OE Wheels. I've had them for exactly 1 year and they're holding up fine. They were packaged very well and look/feel to be good quality.
The buttons on the dorman stick out further and don't have the bulge or recess like the OE one, but it's a spare so I don't care.
OE on left, Dorman on right
The O-rings are inside the fittings, not on the lines. I'm guessing the loose O-rings are either extra or they need to be installed into the fitting. I've never had to replace an O-ring inside of one of those type fittings, and when I've bought new fittings for when I added an aftermarket cooler...
I can't remember which ones are on my transfer case. For some reason I'm thinking they're the larger ones also, that take a 1/2" drive to remove/install.
