With seat installed
I sit higher now. I use the seat memory presets and now I need to raise the headrest a bit and adjust the rear view mirror. The seat is adjusted all the way down. It's much firmer, but feels weird sitting up so much higher.
So I really didn't get any pics of the new foam going in, but that heat/cool pad that I removed from the old one is like small bubble wrap type of thing. It is a sealed bag with like a honeycomb type of string reenforcement inside. That port in the front goes through the seat and attaches to the...
There was no change. There were some old fries though and a crumpled up straw wrapper. I did get a pair of those "drop stop" things for Christmas 2 or 3 years ago and they help a lot. I've dropped my phone and keys before between the seat and console and the keys fell under the seat track and...
Taking a break. I have the seat out and all apart and just got done cleaning the heat/cool pad that lays between the foam and cover.
After getting the seat disconnected and out of vehicle and all the trim panels off I realized I couldn't get access to one of the side tabs that holds the cover...
Getting ready to pull the driver's seat so I can replace the cushion with the Durofoam one I got from The Seat Shop a few months ago.
Mines not bad, but just feels flat/compressed on longer drives.
I hate chrome wheels and was ecstatic when I got different ones. The rest of the stuff on the sides of mine are thin and not worth the time or money to change it.
The grill on the other hand is huge and the chrome finish is flaking off the lower grill. I'd paint them but with my luck it'd...
I thought about doing the black grills, but with the dark headlights it might look too dark on the front. I still have hints of chrome on the vehicle, but mostly just the horizontal strips (roof rack, door handles, protection panels, running boards) and with the dark headlights the chrome grills...
I think you can remove them like an emblem. Use a piece of fishing line holding above and below and with a "sawing" motion use it to cut/separate the double sided mounting tape. Then use a 3m Adhesive Eraser wheel to clean up the left over tape residue. Wash/wax when done.
My 2001 used Mobil1 in it since the first oil change and when I got the 2012 it too was on Mobil1. A few years ago I did notice that I had to add about a quart between oil changes. I then got that big box of ACDelco oil and used that for a bit. The past 2 years though I've been using Kirkland...
@Doubeleive has been through a few of them. He might be able to recommend ones not to get, but he's also in a very restrictive/regulated state and options are limited
First off, spray it down with some Kroil or PB Blaster if you haven't done so and let it sit a bit to soak into the threads.
Tack welding a nut would be the best way, not only to be able to get a wrench on it but the heat helps also.
You can try some heat if you have a propane or map gas...
One probably just supercedes the other. My 2012 owners manual says 41-110 but a few years ago all the online parts lookup stated 41-162.
Updated part # probably due to a manufacturer change
So reading your post and looking at your pic, are you going by the "Fuel Range" the DIC is showing you after you fueled up? If so, that's just a guestimate the vehicle gives for the current driving conditions.
Or did you actually keep track of the mileage from one fill up to the next and do the...
