Bumping this, since no one has responded to my thread about instructions on how to remove this piece.
Posts #3 and #4 seem at odds with each other. Regardless, I don't understand the actual process used in either. Specifically, how can you push up on the entire housing if the top end is already...
Oh -- one more thing... Is it clear where those strips go anyway? Do they go on the inner wheelwell paint, or the outer fender paint? (I'm assuming the latter, but...)
Mine arrived, but I haven’t put them on yet. Maybe today. Just one question…
Do either the front or rear ones actually touch a painted surface anywhere? I see they come with a clear protective piece to apply to the paint, and I’ll apply it… but I’m just wondering if that’s just added protection...
...Because I don't. Now, I haven't had the truck for too long, and the concept of having the rear-view camera display video of what's going on behind you is interesting and cool-looking, but... So far I've found it to be more distracting than useful.
I'm also talking about for daily...
If you're looking for gloss black pieces, then I'm 99% sure you're looking for "black" and NOT "black ice." If you're just looking to know what they call the trim that's standard on the RST, I have no idea. But gloss black trim pieces should be labeled as "black."
Do you have a tried-and-true method for removing the plastic housing at the mirror/windshield? I'd like to go this route with my hardwiring, but I'd have a good chance of damaging the plastic housing without some really good instructions.
Looking around on gmpartsdirect, I'm also seeing some of the trim pieces listed as "silver" along with "chrome" and "galvano chrome," so I've got to believe they're all different finishes. No idea what the difference is between the "chrome" and "silver" are, as the "silver" looks like bright...
On my '23 Yukon Denali, I'm pretty dang sure that I've got the "galvano chrome" trim on it. But whereas the chrome is lighter/brighter/more silver than the "vader" chrome that's available, it's still not a match to the chrome trim around the windows.
Given the option, I'd like all of my chrome...
I went ahead and ordered a set of these based on this thread. So, thanks!
Would you say that these are pretty dark in color? If they're too light in color, they may not look right on my black-on-black truck. Fingers crossed!
Bumping this. Anyone have more full, side shots of your trucks with the mud flaps? I'm considering them on my '23 with powered steps.
Anyone have anything NEGATIVE to say about them?
Oh -- and are the fronts and rears the same length/height off the ground? (Some pics I've seen make the rear...
Is your iphone auto-connecting when you get in the truck? I've found that if it does, and your phone is trying to play audio/video on it (even if it's on a site that has a pop-up video ad trying to play), then you get kicked out of AM/FM (not sure about XM), and you have to then toggle between...
I had a Volant on my '09 Tahoe, and it threw codes. After clearing a code, I'd soon get another. So I removed it from the truck.
I'm interested in hearing more about any codes anyone is getting, regardless of the manufacturer. Thanks.
