What is P0563 (Ignition Voltage above 18v) - And why does my car not AUTO-STOP?

the clone tech 2 that's about 300$ work well with these trucks. I do use the torque phone app pretty often to keep an eye on battery stuff. gotta add the pids but it's handy. not much for trouble shooting for your case thou. a volt meter and some of the back probe pins/needles for it are...

Can you help me with OBDII code: P0430 ?

this isn't exactly the same, since his was a rear o2 code with denso. but just for info. https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/denso-o2-sensors.149038/

was an ls engine ever available in this generation?

yeah, in the older Gen turning off afm helped. but seems like long term they still fail and eat cams up. mine is disabled but haven't had to do a full delete yet. but only has 160k on mine. so it's probably coming

was an ls engine ever available in this generation?

yeah, this was more just a longevity thing. no particular preference for a 6.0 ls over any of the direct injection engines except lack of dealing with di, afm and stuff. a full engine/tranny swap and get all the wiring to play nice wouldn't be worth the hassle in this case. thou a cool build he...

was an ls engine ever available in this generation?

ahh you're right, I was confused about the tranny. some of the new trucks in the fleet he says have the Allison tranny. the 2019 was the 6 speed. thanks for the info. I can atleast tell him what to search for even it's it's a needle in a haystack. he's adhd as hell and. might walk into a...

was an ls engine ever available in this generation?

thanks for the replies. I wasn't getting anywhere searching Google because there's also a trim level LT and LS. where I was looking for the engine. the LT engine is a direct injection and nothing like the old Gen 4 ls. but yeah, the 6.0 he had in that 2019 truck had no afm and he seems to think...

    Motor Oil Brand vs Pressure?

I think these guys do the best oil filter testing I've seen. few different videos I the series. but results seem legitimate. they don't just cut filters open and look at them. but measure pressure drop across them and how good they filter out small partials

was an ls engine ever available in this generation?

I got a buddy that's looking for a tahoe and asked which ones came with an LS. not the direct injection LT. I guess he had a 2019 work truck, 2500 with an 6.0 LS based and it was bullet proof. the other 10 or so trucks were the LT and they all had engine issues at some point and were in the shop...

    2010 Suburban AWD or 4WD, Confusion ?

so I'd guess not something you use just driving thru snowy roads? so looking at my sector. according to the owners manual. my t case will go into neutral for being towed behind a trailer. so it's definitely more of a old school 4x4 t case the op might be looking for. if you look you can see...

    Motor Oil Brand vs Pressure?

some napa gold are definitely rebranded wix. but are they wix standard or xp? I don't know. I have a shelf full of different brands of the same filter at work and some seem the same some are different. I'm pretty sure there's a car quest model that's a rebranded wix too. but slowly they are...

$18K Repair on 2010 Burb? Yup, it made sense.

see to my ear that just doesn't sound faster, all I hear is a bunch of shifts. tq reduction between gears would mean it's always limiting itself. unless you zero all that out which is ******* everything. it's like at some point, especially in a turbo application, going from a th400 with 3...

    Chasing a rough idle?

yeah. reset both at the same time would be good, just to make sure. Basically my thought is if you can get it running without any correction going on. everything at zero and then unplug the o2 so it stays there while running. if it runs better then it's correcting incorrectly. like pulling fuel...

    Chasing a rough idle?

ahh, I've not noticed ltft reset on mine. so my thoughts is, you check alcohol %, if zero. reset ltft, unplug the front o2 and see how it runs on base fueling. if it idles smooth and doesn't break up at the 1200-1600rpm then at least use know the fueling is correct. Just gotta find out why the...

    Chasing a rough idle?

trims removing 10% fuel from each side is a signs it's bit happy. can your scanner read alcohol percentage? intake leaks? exhaust leaks? missing any exhaust manifold to head bolts? they are common to be missing. how does one do a fuel trim reset? I've seen it posted but don't know how this...

214K 6L80 rebuild before TCC failure

I am definitely not a tranny guy so my 2 cents might not be worth 2 full cents haha. but for me, it depends on who's doing the work. if your are dropping the trans and putting a new converter in yourself. I'd definitely do it as preventive. trannys are expensive. but if you gotta pay some...

    Low trans temps

next time you get it humming, pop the tranny in neutral and see what happens. does the sound change with vehicle speed or engine revs. give it some throttle while in neutral as well and see if the noise follows engine rpm or. not. nosies like this are hard to pin people.

    2010 Suburban AWD or 4WD, Confusion ?

is one any better in the snow than another? I avoid the snow at all costs but do you need 4lo for snow? I alway pictured that being for low speed rock crawling. high traction low speed grunt. snow being mostly a lack of traction aren't you mostly relying on the stability control/abs to find...

What is P0563 (Ignition Voltage above 18v) - And why does my car not AUTO-STOP?

just for info, the power steering is 48v and I agree you can probably disregard the code stored it in for now. the ac is 300v. as for the running and dying. make sure it's actually started and running. these are spun over by the electric motor in the transmission much faster than a starter...

$18K Repair on 2010 Burb? Yup, it made sense.

I'm curious, I don't know much about autos. what makes the 10 speed much better than the 6 or 8? from what I've seen online all the new transmissions need replaced every 100k or so miles of normal use?

Two issues, coolant res level falling and ps rack leaking...

honestly.. it's got 200k. Just order the denso radiator everyone here uses, put your water pump on and new fire wall T's in before the trip. even if that's not 100% the problem they are well past time to do them. and the rack leak if you're not seeing the pump run dry should last till you get...

Replacing Flexplate, what else is needed

yeah, what's called out as 519. the cover gasket. pretty common leak. most get the new plate with the rear main already installed too. watch some videos, there's a little bit of alignment to watch our for. they sell alignment tools, but I'm not sure it's needed. Just make sure the rear main is...
