The biggest one was the "Service restraint system" issue. It was finally solved by getting a whole new overhead console assy and hasn't come back. That was about 18 months ago. It's got a rattle in the center console that can't seem to be fixed but it's not a showstopper. But mechanically it's...
My 21 has been rock solid and has had a few electrical gremlins and they were fixed in a reasonable fashion. No better or worse than any other years and the 21 infotainment is far better than the google based system. Not to mention, got in before this over sticker price baloney came to light and...
I mean, let's face it, the only reason you buy this vehicle is because you need/want this size of vehicle. There are more dependable choices out there, there are much better service departments out there that will give you a croissant every time you go in. If you are looking for 300K mile...
As soon as you even mention “it’s a diesel” at a dealer……that automatically kicks the price counter up about 30-40%.
They think we’re pretty gullible and must know it it takes much more work!
Try to find a car wash in your town that has indoor facilities that you can go in in a protected atmosphere and blast them off including all the joints pretty well. Within 15 or 20 minutes or so you’ll know whether that’s the issue or not….. these things don’t like build up. Winter Sucks…
0W-20 will never turn into "Molasses"...... This isn't 15W-40 like a big boy truck. I wouldn't worry about plugging in a LM2 unless it was sitting outside at -20, and only because it would warm up faster....
As a previous company owner also, let me tell you problems are always going to exist. But the real proof of the pudding is in how you handle these problems and how quickly you resolve them to exceed your customers expectations. Most people can deal with problems, but they can’t deal with are...
Thats fine, but with any serious issue, the 1st thing they would do is pull an oil sample and makes sure its 0w-20 and Dexos D and isn't 10K+ mile old. I can show all my oil and filter purchases pretty easily and it never goes beyond say 6K or so, so oil type and condition wouldn't be any...
1% may be acceptable to GM, but I’d bet 100% of the 1% will never buy one again and the PR they spread will negatively affect most all the potential buyers they talk with…
If you are only keeping it 6 years..who cares if it overlaps or not? The price of these goes up every year. I bought mine withing a month of purchase and its behind me now.
You don't know what you will face in 3 years....
The big question is.... do you have a vehicle with a long line if dependability or not? If there are rarely problems and you maintain them well, you certainly aren't abusing your vehicles.... and may easily slip by to 6 years and /or 60K. But if you are going to drop valves, lifters and main...
I've had Jeeps and would have bought one , except for 2 reasons....No Diesel and they peed me off by waiting for it to drop 2 year after they said it was going to be available....I waited and then no diesel...
Went and found the only diesel SUV left.... Pretty well happy but like some of the...
If I could afford it, the only new offering I would consider is a Duramax Escalade. Other wise....I'd head for another maker.
But of course, these are rare as hen's teeth.....
This is the problem here. Having an "unlimited warranty" is small comfort when you are driving something that could strand you at any second and potentally/probably take months to fix while they sort it out and your payments and insurance continue. How much more confidence do you have in the...
A lot of times if you are out of state, they won't discount at all because they know you won't ever be back for service etc. You best bet is to try to negotiate within a drivable radius.
In the Denali there are padded leather sides on either sides of the center console by the passenger and driver seats, do these pop off easily? I have a rattle I believe coming from this area that I’d like to look inside there if they can be removed and replaced fairly easily.
I do have these...
My dealer at Discount tire will no longer rotate or repair any tires over 8 years old regardless of condition. I had Michelin LTX's on my 04 HD RAM that got replaced strictly due to age and they probably still had half the tread left.
I would suspect a spare that doesn't see sun "could" go...
I would constantly scour the incoming inventory, regionally and see what local dealers have coming in. If you specifically want one exactly the way you want it you’re in for a long wait. I was willing to take one that was 95% of what I wanted and caught it coming in on a carrier And it wasn’t...
Sorry, On the LM2 it's a 100K warranty so I kinda thought this one was too. With proper care, there is no reason under the sun that a long time produced V8 should ever need to be replaced at 67k miles.
